Sorry, I meant a new one, although I now fancy a Browning 725 or a Miroku MK60.
Buy a Caesar Guerini.
Highly recommended from me.

Some nice bits of kit in here!

Ive been looking at getting a .22 BSA lighting XL tactical as a starter recently, theres a range in dinnigton about 10miles from me, but would said rifle be enought for hunting rabbits and birds etc?

Easily! You'll be limited to about 35 yards though as the groups will really start to open up beyond that (short barrel), or atleast mind did. Sub 35 it will put them down quite happily.

All paid for, variation submitted. Should be picking it up on the 1st of June all being well. Should be a right giggle to shoot! Looks like a minter too. It's probably been in a crate for 70 years.

OMG. You will have a sore shoulder and the poor unfortunates either side shouting at you.

The "all burnt" position for that relic is about 12" outside the barrel, resulting in a big flash and a loud report.

You'll be glad when you have had enough,

Can't be any worse than some of the muzzle brakes I see in use. They properly sting if you don't have your ears on in the tin sheds on Century.

I have a deactivated one of those, good for added realism when watching Enemy at the Gates.

I have no idea why anybody even considers putting a loudener (sorry muzzle brake) on a 223, its not like there is any significant recoil. Though the 'really really stupidly pointless' award goes to the one I saw once on a 17HMR...

Are we confusing a M/B with a suppressor?

It was fitted to the .223 rifle when I bought it, and as it looks cool, it's staying.

And I also have a much cooler looking muzzle brake !!! That is even more vicious !
