Kinda bought another 22...

Chucked a spare scope on it but it might deserve some nicer glass at some stage - considering a Nikon Prostaff Rimfire, any experience of them on here?

I've got a 3-9x40 Prostaff sitting here doing nothing if you're interested... (although if you're in NZ, the postage might be a killer!)

Nice scope for the money. Quality build (made in Phillipines, which makes a change from China!) and optical quality is excellent.

hehe

Yeah, might not quite be worth the postage - though having said that I've bought a few scopes from the USA and even with the shipping its a lot cheaper than the local retail price.

Good to hear about the optical quality anyway. smile

Looks like it would cost about £20 for tracked and signed Royal Mail so if you can't find one locally, let me know! It's virtually brand new as I only used it on a rifle for one competition!

Well... The game season has arrived smile

I'm reasonably lucky in so far as I have permission to go rough or walked up shooting for Game with friends at a couple of big local farms whenever the fancy takes us, but I really want to get dressed up, do a driven shoot and try to bag a load of Phesants and suchlike.

Are there any good websites that list all available shoots and prices per day or per gun etc?

Firearms and alcohol are a winning combo! wink

Have you had a trip to Bisley at Braidwood?
It's about an hour from me (55 miles) and a touch nearer for you at about 40 miles.

It's supposed to be very good. Do me a favour and check it out for a day and then report back wink

Aaaahhh.... the good old gun days.

I miss my rifles, this was the best that I had the privilege to own before I sold up:

Blueprinted .260 Remington action, HS Precision stock, 26" heavy Krieger barrel, Jewell trigger, 10 round mag conversion. Usual Harris bipod. Scope in this picture was a Bushnell Elite 6-24 x 40 but that got upgraded to a Premier Reticle Leupold.

Built by Callum at Precision Rifles of Scotland.
