Santa was generous this year, or rather my in-laws were.

Also got a good haul of gift cards which I'm putting towards either an off-the-shelf AR15 (as mine still isn't finished) or a 308 rifle.

Choose any / all of the following

1) They generally frown at people playing 'buckshot pinball' at the indoor range
2) It's a real bear trying to fit my Mossberg in the glove box.
3) Because 'Murica!
4) Handguns are fun too
5) Why not?

He lives in the US so it's kind of fair enough to want to play with a handgun. Completely different culture over there as I'm sure everyone is well aware.

However, if you live in the UK and own any handguns or handgun replicas, any shotgun designed to look 'tactical', 'assault' or 'military', any rifle designed to look 'tactical', 'assault' or 'military', then I will automatically think you are a bit of a weirdo and place you in the same category as those people who own camouflage clothing and have Samurai swords hanging in their living room.

If I was in the US, I honestly think I would be rolling around my house with a handgun in each hand, thinking I was James Bond hehe oh, with silencer's on each too!

Anyone planning any Long Siberia trips over the Christmas period? Looks like they are open 29th - 30th, new years Eve in the morning and then re open the 2nd.
I could be persuaded on the 29th, can't do any other days.
Bugger I said I would go with the old man, but he can't get there until the 2nd.

Been out woodie bashing today - well, trying to... A fruitless quest, despite my decoy'ing, as the birdies were ignoring the winter barley and rape put out by the farmer on my permission for a change, and decided to batter the and the farm next door.

On the plus side, a knock on the door of the farmer next door to point out the battering he was getting, and that's another permission to me portfolio. That is tomorrow's job sorted out smile

Its a very lovely thing, but personally I prefer a Schnabel forend - dont know why, just prefer it. My Bro's Beretta has the same forend as yours and it feels somehow cumbersome to hold after mine.

I tried a number of forend types, my other gun has a Schnabel forend (I really wanted to like a Blaser F3) and just found this just felt most natural to me. if I'm honest I cant even tell you exactly why, but it was the gun I least wanted to put down.

I'm fairly new to shooting and had not realised how much of it is about head space and the small intangibles that affect how you feel that have sutch a big impact on the day.

Feel free to criticise, life would be very dull if we all thought the same things
