That looks awesome. I was admiring a Krieghoff in Park St recently, but somewhat out of budget sadly.

Very nice to see the way they have allowed for the fore-end to be stored separately.

Anyone got any clay grounds around London?

Been too long without firing anything and if feasible I would like to get back into it.

Unfortunately my Beretta is still at my parents house, do these places have guns for hire?

Cheers

I went here the other day for a couple of hours: http://www.acsportingtargets.com/

Seemed a fair set up with decent people.

Edit - there was also a much fancier club on the road just before these guys. Again they were nice folks but I definitely got a sense that they knew I wasn't going to be shooting with them!

well I put my application in for my shotgun license a month back and haven't heard anything yet. Then I did some research and appears Hampshire is the 2nd worst county for applications, with average wait of 180 days!! If I lived 4 miles NE and into Surrey would take about 30 days. GGGRRRRRRrrrr. So no rush to get the gun cabinet installed as will be summer '17 I think before I can get a gun.

Did any British manufacturers ever produce an automatic pistol?

frown

I've read somewhere that Hampshire and neigbouring Wiltshire forces are now sharing some resources, which includes their dog sections and firearms teams among other things (maybe horses as well) and so that probably means they now have just one team covering both counties.....so twice the workload and twice the area for half the people that used to do it.

So, having gone on my first ever "big" shoot the other day (Fauxdegla in North Wales is a bloody good shooting ground btw!), I discovered that 100+ cartridges won't simply fit in my jacket pockets like my normal practise 25.

Can anyone recommend me a nice looking, practical and robust 100-150-sized cartridge bag please? Preferably under £50 would help, too smile

Yes different to a Supersport.
Very light barrels.
They are 1330 grams compared to 1550 grams on my CG Ellipse Ascent
Long targets were no problem but I tended to shoot to far in front steadier targets.
Now it shoots very nicely for me with 120 grams added.

Almost any cartridge bag will take 250 or more. Anything from £5 onwards. Putting 100 cartridges in your pockets is madness and will not only hinder your swing but also slow you down.

Thanks, I'll have a look. I wasnt actually walking around with 100 cartridges in my pocket, I had to resort to finding a carrier bag in the car!

I usually go in an air cooled 911...

My shotgun in a soft gun slip fits in the 'front boot' just fine smile

Anyway, I have a Beretta cartridge bag and I think they are very reasonably priced. Mine is fairly small yet I can easily fit in 4 boxes of cartridges plus another box loose, so around 125ish cartridges, and certificate etc in the side pocket.

Have a look here: http://m.uttings.co.uk/c539-cartridge-bags-pouches...

150 cartridge bag for about £38.
