Smack, since you have excluded me from your photo comp here is what you missed at Bisley on Sunday, was invited to meet up with another club so took all my wooden guns out and ended up with a huge pile of brass (some WW2 dated), a big smile and a sore shoulder.

Ok, who can identify this? (Except Dan!)

Select fire M16 variant of some kind.

I really want a Mosin Nagant carbine. Does that make me a masochist?

Yes, an AR-15/M16 lower, and what you can see is a select fire trigger group, mainly the Auto Sear on the right.

Before scrolling down I was gonna say that. Its the fire selector that gives it away. I don't belong to a club or have a FAC but I obviously watch a lot of US telly biggrin

Dan, does that AK fire the original round? and is it semi auto? Only ask as I thought anything bigger than .22 had to be single fire.

I think the answer's either yes/no or no/yes/ Otherwise Dan's going down...

Just spent £199 having this repaired and tuned by John Bowkett, except it it now a full length barrel again. That will teach me for not using it in 10 years!

Don't worry it's all legal, yes it's the genuine AK 7.62x39mm round and NO it's not semi auto, in basic terms the gas parts are removed to make them UK legal, it's effectively a bolt action.

It is one of Olegs imports but i bought it privately from a club member for around £200, Oleg's doing the Romy underfolder AK's now for £679. Luckily crated ammo is dirt cheap and very available, subject to FAC storage limits (or having a friendly local RFD).

Bought my Yunker 4 from Oleg. We met in a carpark and viewed a couple of rifles in the back of his van.

If anyone was watching it must of looked well dodgy biggrin

Some of the toys guns I was using last week:

As I hinted earlier, M-16's, with the extra 'fun setting' which is not so common, shot out of the roof of a moving Hummer, because we could...

Shot these before - I love them, they are lovely to shoot. The M1 Garand.
