What's so "undignified" about it? Half the English team is South African!!!! Lol. English have to be the biggest hypocrits going round
Knock it off, John tried that one for a while before retiring hurt under a barrage of humerous rebuttal. The only valid one is Trott, which was completely mercenary. As Garg will happily tell you, Im never FIGJAM's biggest fan, but domestically Ive a lot of respect for what he did and integrated himself into English society, wife, children, settled, the lot. That to me has quite a high value of integrity.

The situation with the Pakistani spin chap for the Aussies is undignified.

Compton batting nicely down a the new road. This despite facing the Worlds Best Bowling Attack (hereafter AAWBBA) which is also the noise the crims keeper makes every time Mitch fires another one wide down leg side.

Compton feels a bit hard done by.

Perhaps understandably so.

Hang on...they have him slotted into Worcestershire, to have a crack at playing the VERY TEAM he is being prepared for - to give him a chance of scoring against the very attack he will be facing - and it is unfair that he wasn't allowed to play Essex?

What?

Anderson
Broad
Finn
Swann
Bresnan
Onions
Tremlett
Monty

So then, which of them isnt English? Bigunit...we have a lot more experience of Kolpak debate and corruscating contemptuous replies than you do smile On which setting would you like my reply-o-meter? Joust-with-Garg-over-attackingness setting or the full northern chav scum abuse setting?

DJRC - I am amazed you even bothered. The fact they resort to abuse about appearance means the tank is empty before they have begun!

Is anybody else ridiculously, pathetically, childishly excited that the Ashes is starting again this week?

I was reading the various Ashes supplements in the papers this weekend and all I could was keep grinning.

ITS ASHES TIME!!!! smile

Dead right.

Looking forward to a long lazy summer of the thump of leather on willow and platitudinous excuses from the saggy greeners. biggrin

Just heard on sky news that "Billy the trumpeter Cooper" has been banned from playing his trumpet at Trent bridge ! he`s the guy who plays with the barmy army.
Who are these miserable sods at Trent Bridge that make these silly rules, everyone knows its all good fun when supporters are singing along with the trumpet playing, especially when we`re thrashing the aussies !!

He was also banned 8 years ago.

Trent Bridge are portraying themselves as a more "traditional" ground, not a party place like Edgbaston.
