I hear it was a nasty challenge?
Yep, he left the field unconscious and on oxygen.

Holy shi!. What brought about that sort of challenge and whats going to be done about it?

What game was it? I'm somewhat slow on the uptake if the season has already started!!

It was a pre-season friendly.

That is more a punch than a challenge.

Can the citing officer step in for friendlies?

Watched the Tigers yesterday v Worcester - good bonus point win although it seemed they didn't really hit top gear at all. Worcester were pretty woeful in the first half, a little better in the second.
For Tigers thought Crane, Croft, Mele and Bowden had good games. Ryan Lamb was ok although he did miss 3 or 4 kicks in the first half which could have been costly if the opposition had been better.

In reference to the challenge on Flood the week before nothing can be done as Ulster aren't governed by the RFU citing regulations!!

^^ this the first I've seen or heard of this however from this photo I don't see the issue. Meires has his arm around Cole's neck and his fingers in his mouth. Cole looks like he is heading towards the ground and presumably his mouth closes on impact. Any intention to bite? Unfortunate picture though.

Was very impressed with our new signings at the saints on Saturday, Dickinson at 8 had a blinding game.
Still not sure about the new scrum laws though, I though part of the change was to try and make the scrums a bit quicker but JP Doyle seemed to be continually blowing up to have them reset because he was taking too long to give the SH the nod to put the ball in

One would assume that cole will get the same ban as Dylan did when he bit Stephen Ferris. Although my take on that is if you put your fingers in someone's mouth they deserve to be bitten

I see the citing officer is Peter Larter, this will be another Northampton conspiracy then if he's cited wink

Love it how they always have to bring Northampton into everyone else's citings, or are they just showing how inconsistant the citing panels are? wink

Probably a fair conclusion IMO. It seemed something and nothing when watching the match. It passed by pretty unnoticed at least.

Accidentally put your finger in someone's mouth and you can't really complain if it gets a bit of a nip (whether deliberately or otherwise).

And they brought us into it because without that it's a total non-story smile

Bit of a non event. These things happen.

Wuss were flat I'm the first half, but a little better in the second. The breakdown is a bit scruffy and the scrum not brilliant, but wait until the first choice front row to get here/fit before making full judgement. Discipline still a problem.

Line out was better which was a start. Also some decent back play here and there.

This is horrendous news for him and the Tigers. I thought he had a good game on Saturday and was back to his best after his nasty neck injury. Hopefully he can recover from this new injury. Good luck Crofty.

So the Tigers injury list grows: Croft, Manu, Ben Youngs, Kitchener, Smith, Comancho, Benjamin, Tait, Mafi?, Flood (sort of).

I feel for Croft, I really do. Have to say, given the quality in depth, I am not losing sleep for tigers injuries just yet, especially as Flood, Youngs and Tuilagi are just round the corner.

Just got round to watch some highlights. Sale look very coherent in phases and Mother of God Saints look in good shape.

So tonights game (Quins V Saints) looked like it was going to be a craker, then I've seen the weather forecast! not wonderful for free flowing rugby. But at least the game will be shown free on BT Sport tonight.
