What a brilliant performance by Tsonga - he looked down and out at the end of the 2nd set.

Congrats to Murray - top job for Tsonga to pull it back though and take it to 5 sets.

All in all, 2 excellent matches on Centre today smile

My wife is sitting here furious.
We had to go out to sons school as the Murray match was starting, so we set both BBC1 & BBC2 to record guessing that it would jump from 1 to 2 at 6pm.
It did.
We got home about 6.30, she watched the BBC1 coverage until it went over to 2 (at a very crucial moment in the first set) so then went over to BBC2. What she didn't know was it was going back over to BBC1 later so she missed most of the rest of the match. AND Masterchef was moved to BBC2 so they could show the tennis back on BBC1. So she's missed that too.
FFS why do they do this?
Can you imagine them jumping channels on the Formula 1 or World Cup.

Skye.... Totally agree, it is maddening.
And what is the point? It's not as if people are unaware Wimbledon is on, just because it isn't on BBC1. It is probably some ridiculous effort to inflate the BBC1 viewing figures, but to the annoyance of virtually everyone.

On Centre today for both matches.
Cilic match wasn't great, huge bomb serves but the velvet class of Fed shone through. For how much longer though, I'm not sure.

Jo was playing himself and Murray for most of the match. Way too wild. Massive exciting talent though, just needs to play a more intelligent game.
Murray has the best return of serve I have ever seen. His 'get's' are staggering. Still can't warm to him though.

Just to go on topic as it's a car forum. I was behind a LR Discovery earlier this evening all wrapped up in Wimbledon Livery. It's 11PM at night on a dark dual carriageway and the fellas not got his lights on at all, just his front only DRL's.

Was the Discovery driving to the speed limits or paying any attention? Nope, he wasn't. 10 under and unstable in his lane veering left and right whilst between the lines. The car in the outside lane was also very happy to sit at 10 under in the LR's blind spot so no passing was possible.

I've seen a lot of these driving around recently as I'm only in Sutton but unimpressed with this guy. I bet he's probably tired from all his driving but it's not a good look for Wimbledon no matter who could have been in the back.

The 'Skye' part may preclude watching video (having those sort of issues Loch Ness-side)

I tried iPlayer last night. It was tedious. Two of the links showed only the first part of the Murray match I could not find one that showed the whole match or the end of the match!!

Now this was 11pm after a long shift at work so I may have misses it but all I wanted was a highlight show for all four matches and I could not find one

I am pretty sure had I been home watching I woukd have seen the whole match even if I had to channel hop, or at the very least seen Today at Wimbledon highlights. Not even that was on there late last night.

IPlayer coverage has definitely worsened since even last year.

Really disappointing I have never had a problem with bbc's coverage, especially in the last few years

sorry but women's tennis is officially st! where are the Henin's and Hingis's of the world! Compare matches yesterday to semi that just happened

more than that a friend of mine (age 42 and a club player albeit a good one) pushed a top 200 women player and almost beat her the other day, should not really happen imo

Murray’s first set vs Tsonga = 77 minutes. Serena’s entire semi-final vs Vesnina = 48 minutes.

I do wonder what would happen if you put Serena against some of the men. Serena just slaughters every female opponent she gets.

I think she pretty much admitted as much when she was asked a few years ago about playing Murray.
