I was in the DIY shop near my office the other day. Nearly bought some Quickstep flooring.

I've still not found the "didle idle idle ee" horn in the options list that all the tour cars seem to be fitted with hehe

I found one on a Indian market stall about 10 years ago. They evidently thought I was some sort of massive weirdo as I insisted on listening to all the horns to select the onw with the correct tone.

I actually did this. Had a choice between B&Q own brand or Quick-Step, QS being around £5sq/m more expensive. Went with the QS in the end, mainly due to it being a better match of the colour we wanted, but also due to their long-standing sponsorship of a good cycling team. I tweeted Mark Cavendish about it, but he never replied frown

Obviously all advertising or marketing works to some extent - companies wouldn't spend £millons on it if it didn't.

However, sponsorship of a cycling team is one of the few incidences when I consciously (as opposed to sub-consciously) take note of the product as a direct result of advertising (don't necessarily spend my money - but it has actively put the product on to 'my radar' so to speak.

Just heard on the start of today's coverage that one of the riders crashed yesterday, broke a rib which punctured a lung. Waited for the medics but they were all up ahead... so he climbed back on and finished the stage including going over the HC climb! yikes

Just read that. Seems he did 60km on his own to catch the peleton with the collapsed lung too...

I believe it is for a bio passport infirdgement. Presumably as his numbers now are so much worse than when he was on the juice. So ironically he gets popped for stopping, rather than starting/continuing.
