At least they have never employed anyone like Vino - he is as bad (if not worse than Armstrong).

Don't preach to me! If you look back at drug cheat threads I have been lambasted for calling for life time bans from the sport for drug cheats and many of those are on this thread, but when it suits them they come out with this pish about Vino this and Steak diet that.
If they banned these cheats for life then we wouldn't have this problem would we?

P.S. And I don't give a rats ass if they have cried some crocodile tears either!

sadly we would still have this problem because some people will always look to cheat or find the easier route to success.

Good list that. Great for Scott Thwaites to get a call up, albeit it he won't get a ride.

He's the first to announce isn't he?

Can see him getting it for a few months, until the grandees jump in.

With the rule change, they're able to run current UCI legal TT bikes aren't they?

yes

The bit i'm unclear on is if there are now going to be 3 records? The outright EPO/Superman record, the athletes hour, and the "new hour record"...

To be fAir Jens has said that he just wants to be able to tell his grand kids he set the record one day when he is old. He fully acknowledges that once Spartacus takes it seriously his time will be blown away.

Fair play. He's a bloody legend. Never successful enough for me to care whether he was clean, just a great outlook on the game of cycling...

Wiggins is going for it in June.

I'd live to see Martin, wiggo and Spartacus all go for the record at the same time, on different tracks all telecast live with ghost rider positions shown so we could see how it was progressing.

And the original "superman" Grahm O'bree was 100% pane e aqua, literally!

Obree said he's interested in having a go too, now that the silly bike rules have changed.

My mistake. I thought Sosenka had the absolute record, when he in fact holds the athletes hour whilst smacked off his tits. I agree that certainly Obree, and almost certainly Boardman were clean.

Three big days ahead in the vuelta. Have to say contador is looking very comfortable. I wonder whether valverde might challenge him.

He's only 20 seconds behind and certainly looks strong.

Good to.see froome having a go yesterday as well. He might come into force at just the right time. We'll soon find out.

If you followed Boardman's career he openly admitted that he could stay with most of the TDF elite in the high mountains for a day but his recovery just didn't allow him to do the same thing two or three days in a row. Evidence if it where needed that he was clean in an era that was not.
