I acknowledge my cognitive dissonance. Hate LA/Virenque/et al. Can't stand the thought that it's potentially still going on.
Yet adore Merckx, Mig, Pantani... Nearly bought a nice celeste Bianchi after selling the Trek (better spec than Lance's!), but then realised I was late teens, with £4k in my pocket (the bike was worth £3.5k new, I got it for under 800 notes through the dodgy dealings of my then bike shop owning boss, sold it for 4k as Trek had none in stock worldwide... Spunked the lot on beer, birds and fluff.)
Welcome the news of full data transparency post Tour, and the reports of a (seemingly credible) sports scientist allaying my fears. That'll do me.

Cycling is more than just the Tour de France.
However some events just seem to get all the attention.
IMHO froome needs to win all 3 grand tours to really distinguish himself as an all time great.
Sure he is a class rider but his cv would like better with him winning all the big ones!

Drugs seemed to get hold of him quite badly Suprised that the TDf would use a road that had free running cows on it.In all seriousness it could have been carnage if the Peleton hit a herd of Cows crossing the road.
Should show todays footage of how a cyclist reacts to a major injury (although to be fair he did roll about a bit when he hit the ground) to Premier league footballers.

Pretty poor behaviour, whipped up by 'irresponsible' reporting from certain journalists. Accusing riders of doping is a serious business. If they have genuine evidence of doping then run the story - if not, and it's based on 2+2=5 then don't bother. I don't have a problem with journalists investigating doping; we all want a clean sport, but making things up/ guess work isn't really helping.
I've no idea if Sky are clean, I hope they are, I can't believe they'd take the chance; Team Sky & British Cycling are linked - can you imagine the fall out?
I just think they've entered the sport and decided to do things differently; a lot of the other teams are set in their ways.
Finally, they look like they're in line to win a 3rd TdF. Only the 3rd GT they've won out of 17 - and have 1 podium in a Monument. Hardly domination.

Would be great to think that they are clean. Read an excellent article yesterday by David Walsh (will try to source where, was an Irish Newspaper), he doesn't accuse them of doping, he just highlights a few concerns. One of the Lotto Jumbo guys and TJvG also changed line by undertaking Quintana which limited Barguil's options I guess.
