Giro route announced officially today. Interesting mix on mountains, long stages and 3 short time trials including one uphill.

Giro and Vuelta far more interesting than tdF for me.

Great breakaway ride by Niballi to win the last monument of the year.
That boy knows how to get down a hill.
Not to shabby up them either!
Used to have a lot of respect for Nibbles, and suppose I still do for his descending, but the Vuelta cheating was a step too far.

A bit harsh, he's a hugely skilled rider and I respect him for that. The Vuelta thing I agree was just plain silly - his team are part responsible for that too.

His credentials are superb with all three grand tours wins.

I just can't feel happy when an Astana rider wins, nearly every other team I'm ok with it, and I'm sure the rider is clean.. Just dislike the team.

Sky have been absolutely fantastic for GB cycling.just watched the women's pursuit destroy the opposition.
As a company I really dislke SKY but for cycling they have been brilliant

dunno if anyone is even interested, but lance armstrong was on the 'joe rogan experience' podcasts (on itunes), dunno what they talk about, but I doubt rogan will avoid the obvious questions. I'm off to have a listen just now.

I listened to it this morning on my drive into work, it's not going to change anyone's mind but you do get more of a sense of the man, Joe Rogan's podcasts usually run over 3 hours, this one was about 2 and you do get the sense that Lance came to say what he wanted to and get out.

It looks as though mechanical doping actually exists

Not a new issue, but the first time I see it has been found.

There were talks about this sort of thing years ago. I think Cancellara was on the receiving end of some accusations.

Obviously guilty. Though if the story about being lent the bike is true she may have a reasonable case.

Question is really how much assistance are we talking? There's a shop near Sigma Sport that sells Scott E Bikes and they all look a bit wieldy. The batteries are a decent size as are the motors aren't exactly small either

So anything that could be hidden in a regular size frame tube is probably not going to offer anything like the power of the bike above. Is a 5% energy saving likely? Is that actually enough to make a difference?
