Awful news, makes me really angry when I read about incidents like these. Having watched god knows how many Tour stages from the roadside as a fan, the attitude of these moto riders, regarding speed and safety, is appalling. I watched the Gent-Wevelgem yesterday and the amount of motorcycle out riders is reaching ridiculous levels. Rider safety must be a priority. Apparently you don't even need a special licence (in terms of training) to ride amongst the convoy.

It was crazy at the Tour of Britain, there must have been twice as many motorbikes as bikes. And its the ones that weren't police bikes that you noticed, they were almost all riding badly - who knows what they all doing. Was quite glad to be watching from a 6ft bank above the road to be honest.

Met two cool chaps on Lambretta's this morning on the Chunnel. They were riding over to watch the race. The rain in the SE was horrible and the lads were soaking!

My VX had been sat in traffic for 40 minutes and the engine temp was at 104 when the train started moving so got them to chuck their gloves/scarves on my engine grill to dry/warm up.

They're going to have an awesome day tomorrow smile
