Am I going nuts. Sports Mail section in the Daily Mail says "Only two men have won three Tours de France in the post war period and today Chris Froome will begin his bid to become the third. The first was Louison Bobart and the other was Greg LeMond".
There have been a number of cyclists who have won three times.

Proper shouting at the TV moment. Great to see him in yellow. First time he's beaten Kittel in a straight drag race for a long time.
Yep, same here! Very happy to see that kind of win. Proper pleased for him.Quhet said:
Seems odd not having Phill Leggett and Paul Sherwin commentating on the TDF, I'm not convinced by Boulting as a commentator. Great win for Cav though
agreed on all points - well done Cav !being the underdog maybe takes some of the pressure away from him as he was always expected to win before

Today's stage could be a bit tricky with the cat 3 climb (Cote de la Glacerie) right at the end, possibly some small time gaps between the GC contenders - Sagan will be eyeing this one up though, made for him.
Apparently it's about 1.5km long and generally not very steep, but with one kick after the roundabout. OJ Borg doesn't think the sprinters will be able to hang in there (although a slight health warning against what journos think as 'difficult' https://twitter.com/OJBorg). The weather may well complicate things too. Gassing Station | Sports | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
