50:1 odds on Wiggo.... cant see him in the mix at the end to be honest. I'd be delighted if I was proved wrong but I dont think he has the tenacity to stay at the front waiting for the jumps. Is he still sub 70kgs too? pretty sure that will work against him and then there is the possibility of bad weather....

I'd put a fiver on Vansummeran myself, 200:1 isnt bad for a rider with Roubaix on his palmares!

Vanmarcke is showing good form. 12/1 not too bad odds.

Have Sky released who is their top rider?
Stybar was in sensational form at the CX Worlds, if he can carry that into the classics, then he is worth a punt.

I think Sky are generally backing Thomas for the classics

If I was Sean Yates I'd give Stannard a free role to do whatever he thinks is right, chase groups, join breaks etc and then put everyone else working for Thomas though I cant imagine any scenario that has Thomas winning Flanders or Roubaix.

Stannard has a broken back so I should imagine he is being told to stay off his bike.

...and Yates left Sky a long time ago. Keep up at the back, pablo! wink

I'll go for Cancellara for Flanders and I'm sticking with Boonen for P-R, although Stybar should be up there. Also it will be interesting to see if Gilbert can find some form in the Ardennes races.

Not even if he crosses the line first?

The only way I can see Thomas winning Flanders is if Wiggo goes on a personal time-trial from 30km out and Cancellara has to follow him. Then, a group will close both of them down and G might conceivably win from that group.

But that won't happen. It's Cancellara's to lose.

Looking forward to Flanders this weekend should be epic. Weather doesn't look great with a strong chance of rain. Head says Canc but heart would love Boonen to have top spot on the podium although I think his powers are definitely waning now. Sagan can't be ignored obviously but I've got a feeling that maybe Luca Paulini could do something, and then throw in the likes of Vanmarche and Stybar into the mix - it really could be anyones. As for Wiggins, well, success for him would be to make it to the second feed without being dropped. Absolutely of no use to anyone.

Vanmarcke is a good shout actually. In a similar vein, I reckon Stybar might be enough under the radar to run away.

As much as I'd like to see Boonen win, doesn't appear he's on brilliant form atm.

Cancellara in the E3 race showed some crazy strength!

Would like to see Sagan win, really like him.. Plus seems in very good form right now.

I doubt Stybar would go under the riders radar, he is so strong they would be foolish to let him go.
I'm going to say Vanmarcke, with Stybar in the top 5 and an outside chance of the win.

I've put a few small bets on the following:

Štybar @18/1
Sagan @3/1
Thomas @20/1
Cancellara @13/8
Van Summeran @150/1

Should cover my outlay with any of them placing, and a bit more if one of the outsiders win.

So that's my long shot on Van Summeren gone already...

Ouch - out after hitting an old woman. What is she doing in the road? Too many speccies standing in the road - when will they learn?
