Aus 2 for 389 at the end of day one : not a bad start.
First century for Usman Khawaja too. Australia in a very dominant position.

Even more so now , hard to see anything but an Aussie win. Nz crushed under a weight of runs.

SA v India as well , looks like England aren't the only ones to collapse in Asia. SA lost last 7 wickets for 79.

Aus playing like they used to in the good old days. Lead by 500 after racking up 240 at 6/over in the second dig.

A few months too late really!!

Anyone watch the all stars game? T20 match organised by Shane Warne and Tendulkar in America.

Justc came to post that too. Warner taking them to the cleaners. 3 centuries in 3 innings.

Can't help wondering how the tables might be turned with a Duke ball in early summer conditions in England.

I suppose it simply reinforces the level of achievement of away wins.

I feel sorry for Usman, getting out with 3 overs to go.

Still, 2 for 416 is an ok start, although Warner hasn't reached 250 yet.

416/2 on Day 1.

Did we really lose the Ashes to the team that just got stuffed by Pakistan??

Warner, if he keeps his head and has a bit of luck, could post a big one tomorrow.

In England related news I see that there's been a change of heart from those at the top of English cricket. England players will be allowed to go to the IPL and 1-day cricket will be a bit more of a focus.

Good to see that players won't be accused of being selfish, greedy, looking after number 1 and sacked from the team in the future.

That's going to be reserved for those with a history of crimes against hairdressing.

Didn't a few try a while back but receive no bids?!

I think we'll struggle to get anyone into a team over there tbh, with a couple of exceptions.

I believe that's where the jealousy came in. They weren't deemed good enough so had a moan.

I thought that too much playing on homogenised "home ground" pitches was one of causes of teams struggling to win overseas : does England have any fast, bouncy pitches like eg the WACA?

It certainly doesn't have the climatic conditions to match Perth (Aus). hehe

I'd honestly love to see Aus vs NZ on English pitches with a ball giving much more to the likes of Boult et all. Different game.

Me too, why they don't use the Dukes ball all around the world I don't know. Would improve the game a lot I think.

I'd like to see David Warner smashing Boult et al on a green seamer and proper cricket ball.

I think he'll go after Lara's 400...
