Hear hear. That world cup was a cricket car crash, I can't wait to get stuck into some proper cricket. I'm off to the 3rd Test in Barbados in just over 3 weeks time, I'm frothing.

BBC "Former England captain Graham Gooch says a successful tour of the West Indies can put a stop to continuing talk of a return for Kevin Pietersen." still goong to be tough for a win they still need to rethink out cricket inside out!

"Captain Alastair Cook had 'refreshing & enjoyable' break" yah right he was out for 3 and 5 in the last match Marylebone Cricket Club v Yorkshire so he had a nice rest!

Downton sacked, well it is a start I suppose, looks like a couple of selectors are getting booted too.

Didn't know we had a Chairman, and Chief Exec and a Managing Director too, no wonder no ones takes any personal accountability anymore.

Please god, let Vaughan get the job, would be an excellent choice.

Atherton perhaps - but I suspect he's far too smart to get involved.

I'd really like Gatting, but he's been far too smart for too long to want it.

Or how about Ian Botham and have the meetings down the pub or Boycott smile

Perhaps a Botham Flintoff partnership, what could possibly go wrong?

It's alright getting rid of Downton but Moores should go as well. Couldn't coach ivy up a wall. We were woeful in the World Cup and the blame lies with him.

Weird isn't it. Moores wanted Cook out of the ODI captaincy, Downton supported Cook. Downton gets the boot, but Moores stays?

Not that I remotely thought Cook was the man for the job, but to ditch with three weeks to go was almost the worst of all worlds.

For clarity I want all of them sacked, and Strauss or Vaughan to take control.

Sad news. As the years pass, the voices that kindled wonder and devotion to the sports we love are lost, one by one.
