15-20mins post lunch to adjust yourself and then apply the middle of the bat. I expect Mr Ballance to be the more positive batsman here, Chef will be looking just for the ton. Incidentally I believe Chef is currently on 7 half tons in the last 9 innings and averaging 63. Shocking form!

Scratch that. Chef WAS looking purely at the ton frown

Well that's me Told!

Decent progress here, push on strongly after tea before letting the tail wag tomorrow. Buttler, Stokes, Jordan and Moeen can all hit the ball hard, and it might even give Broad some confidence by the time he gets to pick up the bat.

We're in the lead, seven wickets in hand and a tail that a kangaroo would be proud of. Crack on til after lunch tomorrow setting 250 to make us bat again.

Loving Roots work here, showing the rest that it is ok to actually hit the thing.

Shame for Cook, agree there is nothing wrong with his test form. But when Our top three are batting together, they must learn to rotate the strike better. Too many maidens, they really go into their shells under pressure.

Good old Marlon! That was brilliant.

It appears as if Ben Stokes needs to grow up a bit. Talented cricketer, but a whiff of a 'petulant child' about him.

Pay back for Jimmy A's tirade when he dismissed Samuels.

If England are going to dish it out, then they have to take a bit as well.

No this was about him and Stokes. They have been having verbals all series. Marlin recognises there is achievement behind Jimmys verbals and he's done every batsman in the game. Stokes is a young puppy nobody and got a bit above himself to be giving it large. You earn the right to give a bit of verbals to balance out when it isn't your day. Giving it verbals when you have nothing in the ledger is just setting yourself up and Marlon delivered a stunning coup d'grace smile

I imagine old PV and Curtly would have worn huge grins at seeing that. It shows an attitude more than anything from Marlon, that it matters and some fight for the game.
