This is going to be a shocking summer. Our bowling unit has never been the same sicen Swann retired but we Broad's nowhere near the bowler he was either and they don't have a change bowler with the ability to take wickets. Batting looks better but with Cook and Trott opening progress will at best be pedestrian which will put pressure on down the order. We could lose 5-0 to the Aussies.

Getting Trott to open is daft. He's not an opener, never has been and never will be. Might get away with it when he's on top form, but coming back from his troubles then Boyc's mum with a stick of rhubarb would likely do as well.

When he's on form he's a cracking bowler, and he used to be able to bat though it seems he's forgotten which end to hold. His actions in reviewing that dismissal were idiotic.
