I'm going to book myself in for a massage and acupuncture at some point its worth giving anything ago.
I'd be seeing a Phsyio to try to find the route of the problem, and if its scar tissue damage which is the most common back/shoulder injury, they'll be able to recommend a suitable treatment. Just do a bit of research into local ones before you go & fingers crossed they can sort you out! Rather than paying for something that might give temporary relief without solving the problem? Just my two cents wink

I have recently started attempting to learn how to play golf, and with 4 range sessions under my belt, if I get the ball in the air I think I've done well.

Mainly been using a 7-iron and below, due to start some lessons within the next couple of weeks!

My local club is The Warwickshire.

No doubt I'll upload a video of my swing at some point!

They look great! Your review is important, looking forward to it smile
Well, I had a bucket on the range when I picked up my new irons (Ping i25's - lovely).

I'm lucky enough to have a turf driving range so I gave the wedges a whack as well.

Also had a go on the chipping range.

First impressions are that they are fooking lovely!! No issues with digging in - I seem to suit the sole grind very well.

Will give you a better write up in a few weeks.

Haha, only the freebies that came with my new wedges!

I personally would never waste money on such things, but I'll use these ones until I'm either bored with them or lose them hehe

The wedges look nice, display them!

My mate turned up with a set on his nearly new AP2's the other week, he'd lost them all somehow by the time we hit 18, can't think how that happened!

Well.... had a bit of a session with all of my new clubs last night.

Getting on very well with the i25's - I think they're going to be great.

And I have to say the wedges are excellent!

Have found that they are incredibly consistent. I hit half a dozen balls with each club, twice, and apart from a couple of miss hits from me, I would say distance wise all shots were within 2 yards of each other.

I'm finding the V-Sole to be excellent on my tight fairways. I happily chipped to 5' from about 40 yards with the 60 degree wedge (missed my birdie putt though!).

Haven't had any issues with hitting the ball fat, just a nice neat divot on most shots.

I'm struggling a bit with them out of bunkers but I think that's just a learning process.

On the whole, at this early stage, very happy smile

Shot 43 last night on the back 9, driver was an absolute beast. Happy days!

Nice one rosscow, glad the wedges and new clubs are working nicely, there's nothing like new shiny clubs!

You have me tempted with the wedges now, may look into them again smile

Thinking of starting a show & shine thread for all you proud stick owners...

Rosscow has inspired me! Definitely need to clean my clubs this weekend. Playing on Saturday...hoping to beat my PB at that course of 78 by a few seeing as I've finally reined in my hook, just depends on the dreaded short game!

Anyone else playing this weekend?

Major work started on our course this week - new tees going in, along with a new green and also some alterations to existing greens.

Going to be lovely when finished!

So, the PGA Championship is well underway.

Nice to see Lee Westwood off to a flyer, let's hope he can keep it up for 3 more days.

Also nice to see Luke Donald finding some form, although what that high floaty chip on the par 5 was all about I don't know - very uncharacteristic mistake.

Impressive from McIlroy to come back from that double bogey 7 to finish on -5.

Looking forward to tonight - Friday night, beers, major golf on the telly and no work in the morning. Ideal!

+1 great recovery from RM, nearly made it 5 in a row too.

as we have said before lee doesn't putt well enough at majors to win one, but he's in the mix.

He seems to be getting on well with that new Ping Ketsch putter though... and from tee to green he is excellent.

You never know! I think his biggest problem would be the form of others - he just isn't good enough to beat McIlroy when he's on form.

Interesting you carry a 50 degree wedge and a pitching wedge. Aren't they very close in loft (I thought a PW was around 49 if I'm honest)?

Not a criticism in any way just curious.

No problem!

My PW is 46 degrees. 49 degrees is normally a gap wedge loft.

My lofts are nicely gapped now:

4 iron @ 24
5 iron @ 27
6 iron @ 30
7 iron @ 33
8 iron @ 37
9 iron @ 41
PW @ 46
GW @ 50
SW @ 55
LW @ 60

That was one of the reasons I liked the i25's - their lofts were realistic in relationship to the iron.

For example TM Speedblades have 7 irons set with 30.5 degrees of loft - a normal 6 iron! No wonder they're a 'distance' iron!
