Played at Dale Hill today, a very frustrating 30 points with yet another 5 blobs on the card.

Terrible putting!

In fairness to myself, I'm not a smash it, find it, smash it again player. I don't go for Hollywood shots and definitely take my medicine when required.

3 of the blobs were down to putting, another was down to a seemingly good looking shot disappearing (plugged in the mud somewhere and with a 3 ball close behind us I couldn't go back to hit another).

Only 1 hole was a blob from poor play and that was a tough approach shot (ball well below feet in the rough) that I put into a ditch, the resulting drop and then fluffing my chip into a bunker! Managed a decent enough bunker shot but then putter let me down so missed the point.

Mainly it's my putting letting me down.

For example, the last 6 holes I found all fairways and greens in regulation and yet managed to have 15 putts.

Had 9 holes today, really focused on my putting and was rewarded with a 39.

They are most definitely banned at my course!

Had 36 holes of golf on Sunday - a foursomes match. I didn't play brilliantly but it's a tough format to play well in.

We lost 17 1/2 to 14 1/2 in the end but it was a fantastic day. The course is in stunning condition and the weather was excellent.

I'd imagine he'd drop the 3 iron considering he has a new 3 iron equivalent hybrid?
