Oh well at least the WRU will be debt free within the next 3 years. Totally debt free stadium paid off etc.
Now even more investment st grass roots can commence
The WRU have a great deal to be grateful for about the Football Association's inability to get the new Wembley built and finished on time. All those football matches in Cardiff went a long way to paying for the Millennium Stadium, and by extension will secure funding for Welsh Rugby from money they didn't fork out paying back the mortgage. Now even more investment st grass roots can commence
Also they use the stadium for concerts monster truck racing world of champions etc. it's literally on the go all the time which is really how every stadium should organise - the bonus is debt free sooner plus the local businesses get s nice windfall too.
Don't most successful businesses carry some debt?

England: Goode, Watson, Slade, Farrell, Nowell, Ford, Care, Vunipola, Youngs, Cole, Launchbury, Parling, Haskell, Robshaw, Easter
Easter starts. Have you got no back row cover? Would have thought some youngster would have benefitted more from selection.
He could have picked Manchester Grammars Junior Colts. It's difficult to conceive of a less important match than this one: there is no useful information that will come out of it, even if they were to stack up a three digit score. Easter starts. I still want to watch it, it would be good if England could put on a "masterclass" as a final show and scrape back even a tiny bit of pride and dignity. I bet Uruguay are well up for it to spoil the party though!prand said:

I tend to agree with Greg. Uruguay are uber minnows and have shipped 119 points in 2 games. The poor buggers are playing Fiji TODAY as well so they only have a 3 day turnaround to the England game. They'll be fked. No matter how much of a hiding is dished out it's a total non-event.prand said:

You think hammering the second most lowly ranked team in the competition, comprised of amateurs and lower league semi professionals, will give you back some pride and dignity? Really?0000 said:
I don't think much of Burgess, but if his problem is just a lack of Union game time... why drop him now?!
well apart from the fact he shouldn't even have been there... it is right, IMO, that the unused players should get a run out as it's not going to affect anything. That being said Fazlet as centre??????????????????????????????????????????????????? fk-me the guy is about as slow as glacial drift and (would appear) to have the thinking prowess to match 0000 said:

You really have to ask that question? Dear God, man, just how naive are you????http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/rugby-union/34453114
According to one Mr S. Lancaster of Pennyhill Park, England's problem was inexperience.
We wouldn't be able to keep using that excuse if the England coaching team actually carried on selecting the same players, would we now?

Nope no cover, Haskell was the utility back row cover, I'd have given Kruis some game time at 6 and Haskell at 6. Lets be honest we could switch backs and forwards around and still win-no offence Uruguay.Easter starts. Have you got no back row cover? Yeah Farrell at 12 hopefully the last time we'll ever see him there in an England shirt.
Had to laugh at the Daily Telegraphs alternate reality.

What might have been:
- England ease past Fiji 54-5. It is a comprehensive victory to kick off the hosts' campaign and launches a wave of excitement around the country.
- Stuart Lancaster decides to make one change for the big Wales match, Henry Slade coming in for Brad Barritt. George Ford has the game of his life, not missing a single penalty or conversion as England triumph 33-13. Rugby mania has arrived in England.
- Aside from an injury enforced change to replace Courtney Lawes, Lancaster names an unchanged side to face Australia, insisting that his best XV is a settled unit and all have recovered well from the Wales victory. Mike Brown scores twice, Slade touches down for the first time in the World Cup and England battle hard for a 23-16 win.
- In a gentle press conference this afternoon, Lancaster predictably announces that he is to field an almost entirely second-string side against Uruguay on Saturday as England prepare for their quarter-final the following week. Things could barely be going more to plan.[/i]

Even though I see your point, yeah, why not? They would have been playing each other whatever the previous results and I would have watched. It's going to be several months till we see an England team of any sort playing, and I quite fancy seeing some of the lads who didn't get a chance to have a run out too.Kermit power said:

If we get four more years of Russian roulette selection at this pace I'll be expecting a phone call shortly before the next world cup. We might as well embrace it and start having celebrity cameos. I'm sure Paul Hollywood would give it a go.

I genuinely don't think I can be bothered to watch England v Uruguay.
Wales v Australia certainly - there's a game to savour.
I'll watch it. Who knows Uruguay might get their first try of the tourney....Wales v Australia certainly - there's a game to savour.
I expect Slade will be good and show Lancaster et al the error of their ways but they won't care as it's only Uruguay.....
