I'm blessed - I get a choice of watching ITV or the Irish channel TV3 - I've swapped back and forth between the two and have firmly settled for the TV3 commentary which has been excellent.
Actually the TV3 coverage has been much better than I expected. Great having Keith Wood on the box

It's outrageous, isn't it! I paid £56 to watch England beat New Zealand, and I don't care if it's a World Cup, I'm not paying over 4 times as much to watch a game between ANY teams!

So being debt free is good even though the domestic game withers and dies?

Don't most successful businesses carry some debt?
By all means carry some debt, but only to make sure even more money rolls in. Any big organisation has to secure lots of money to spend on its ambitions. Clever planning by WRU has meant it's in a better financial situation than it would be.

Concerns about the domestic game are a separate argument. The domestic game sorely needs attention, no doubt. But WRU's business savvy has left more money to fix that problem, if only they get on and do it.

We may be looking for a pair of finals tickets, just to go for the 'experience'.

Seems a lot are coming onto the market now England are out.

I can get tickets to any QF or SF now, at face value (though I suspect discounts will be available as the dates draw closer).

Small crumb for Wales: Hooper has picked up a 1 week ban for his citing.
I'd be a p**@~ed off if I were English. A clear yellow card offence by a vital opposition player. We(Wales)will benefit from the retrospective punishment but that doesn't help England who should of been playing 14.

Oh dear, and now the first red card in the tournament frown
thought the yellow to Campese was a little harsh TBH

I'm English. It would've made sod all difference, other than to say we'd lost to Australia even with their best player spending 10 minutes in the bin.

yes England would have been against 14 BUT when farrell got carded, you saw a very high tackle from burgess which i felt should have made him see the bench as well, 14 vs 13 would have been a walk in the park for Aus

It would've been a different game. Who knows what would have happened.

when all is said and done the right team won. They wanted it more, they were quicker in thought and deed, they were more skillful

I must admit I've seen some weird reffing decisions - some teams have been pinged and carded for what seems like an innocuous 'neck-roll' yet others haven't even been awarded a penalty. The brainless one got carded for a 'no arms' tackle vs the crims yet Burgess wasn't even warned for a high tackle... strange
