I applied for Samoa vs Japan @ MK and got them. Figured it'd be a less popular match but I suspect it could be quite entertaining wink

Got England V Wales. With me being English and the other half Welsh this will be brilliant. Going to be a long 11 month wait.

4 for wales v Uruguay here.

trouble is that is for a lads do, and that means the OH is going to miss out, which is a bit of a moral quandary for me

Applied 4 tickets for the bronze final ( 2 top teams and local to me at Olympic stadium ) and SA v Japan at Brighton and 3 workmates did the same two matches - not a single ticket between us.
Did notice at the bottom of my rejection email however that there are still plenty of "supporters tour" and "hospitality" packages available......
Wonder how many of these matches will play with banks of empty seats cos the corporates couldn't be bothered to show ???

Chaps, come on now? Without the corporate cash, the tickets would have been silly money??? frown

Applied for all England games, Semis and Final and 'only' got 2 tickets to the Final. Seem to be up on Seatwave for £1300-1500 for a £150 band D ticket, surely they won't sell for this will they?! I plan to go, but I can see why it is tempting to sell if you can get that much, could watch the game from a very nice beach somewhere instead!!

If England get there they will sell for a lot more than that.

I'd love to see the final - but if I were offered a few grand plus per ticket (or 15k was, IIRC, a figure mentioned for some other final) I'd be happily selling

I must say that is a reasonable argument even though I always swear I would never sell a ticket above face!

if england get there it will be a serious choice to make if they are selling for a few grand each. LIke you say, could watch it from a beach somewhere.

People pay over £1K for big 6 nations matches. If England get to the final it will be totally mental.

Final tickets will go for good money come what may. Though in '99 the semi at Twickenham you could buy tickets for face value very easily (NZ v France) .

'91 Final I paid £150 for a ticket two days before the game....how times have changed.

My priority slot is from the Wednesday - presumably as I have already got some tickets in the ballot.

All I really want is 2 tickets to one game (any game) so SWMBO doesn't miss out.
