Safety first , Moores feels comfortable with him , happens the world over in sport. When mangers move football clubs you see them going back to their old clubs to buy players. ATM I have no idea who is our number one spinner.
Is Moores a selector? If so, he shouldn't be. Some independent thinking might save a career here.

That's all very nice, but I have it on fairly good authority that the man is a complete . hehe
I can forgive him, his ishness

the problem is he is good... I get the impression that we in the UK don't like flair - we don't 'trust' it. Changing sports I honestly can't see David Campese being half the success he was if he was English - or indeed someone like Serge Blanco. Am I wrong?

James Anderson could be facing a test match ban, England are gonna be without one of their main batsmen..

Aye carumba! Are they sure they've not put the stumps in the outfield?

I'm backing Jimmy to get at least 5 wickets...Him against Dhoni is going to be tasty...

Nice to see Ballance suffering no ill-effects from his piss-up the other night hehe

hehe Looks like the wicket my old fella cut for Little Ex!

It seems to be working though, 48 for 2.

Did England get lucky with the toss choosing to bowl?

I'm holding my breath for the inevitable England batting collapse tomorrow hehe

More from Cook's little book of captaincy:
- Bowl short on a seaming wicket
- One over of spin before lunch (that one could have worked to be fair)

It looks like we've got the pitch we asked for - why aren't we using it properly?

Listening to TMS and apart from Jimmy's early spell its been the same old England bowling. What is so hard to bowl full, with a line of off-stump and make the batsman play? The ball has been moving around alot and making them play means your more likely to get a nick.

Prior dropping 2 hasn't helped matters.

Oh common, it's not really worthy of a ffs.

123/5 now, I'd say that England aren't doing too badly.

I'm just dreading tomorrow when the Indian bowlers really show the English batsmen how it should be done hehe

Without doubt there's a good bit of swing there, must be that gloobal warmin and heat wave the BBc keep banging on about.

Quite why they've just (50th over) given Ali the ball I'm not sure, maybe to give the seamers a rest?

Whilst writing this... AND ANOTHER ONE!!!!

I take back everything I just said about Ali!

128/6

I guess we could see England bat today!

At this rate and with England's known collapses we could be wrapped up within 3 days hehe
