Blimey, that is quite a turnaround - 300/4 349/9

Some might say a collapse of English proportions

Morning All,

Can I just go on record as saying England are st, We won't win anything with Cook as captain. The Mighty Hammer of Justice is past it, and can no longer get it off the square. The pitches are too slow and Jimmy A is no longer the best bowler in the world. We have no spinner and whilst we are at it Prior is an old man and isn't up to it anymore.

Thank you.
is that you Shane..
Shane Warne on Pistonheads - excellent

Apologies - I agree with you

Read somewhere yesterday that the wickets were after breaks which smacks of management tactics having effect, rather than captains tactics

This is absurd - why does it always always happen to England, it can't be THAT hard to bowl out bowlers for goodness sake!!!

I wouldn't really say we learned how to bowl. The 4 wickets consisted of a run out, 2 from playing poor shots at wide balls that should have been left alone, and a tail ender not knowing were is off stump was. Only the last wicket was a good ball.

This last wicket partnership shows we have not learned how to bowl.

Finally

What are the odds on Cook being able to remember what to do when he gets to the crease.

Errrr.... Not good then.
Poor dismissal showing too much leg stump. An England captain should not be getting out like that.
Why aren't we learning lessons from India's no. 9 & 11 batsmen?

So india's no.9 and 11 outscore the England captain and opening batsman by 1000%. Each.

It is like a bowler getting the yips, he looks all over the place.

Time to sack Cook and bring back KP as Captain.

Alastair Cook has gone 25 Test innings without scoring a century, if he doesn't get any big innings to his name or loses the series badly, then I think he will be stripped of the captaincy and dropped.

I know Cap'n Cook is having a bad run, and I know your KPs biggest fan, but remind us what KP has done in the last six months to be worthy of a place in the team. Perhaps remind us of how successful his captaincy was in the IPL

Good point, if that was to happen, it would be a step backwards for England. I hate how they dealt with KP and made him the scapegoat after the ashes, but England have to move in from KP.

Mere details, I know he can rise to the challenge, KP never played well in dead rubbers and lesser matches, he is the man for the big stage

Sure, I know he isn'tt coming back, but what do the ECB do know, having backed Cook and made their highest scoring batsman in the Aus tour the scapegoat, what do they do now the skipper has lost his compass...

Quite. Peter moores and Alastair cook have not turned the tide, merely run with it. Right now we'd be better off with peter cook and dudley moore.
