Love this tournament. Europeans must win....thigh I do hope 'Poults' with his silly hair and stupid trousers shanks it off the first par 3, and has the worst round in RC history.
Can't bare the egotistic, camera loving preener.
Anyone who wears a white belt should not be in any team IMO.
Quite simply, if he does that, we won't win, him, Rory and to some degree Westwood will be the barometer.

I hate him for 103 weeks out of 104, I make exception for the RC
Its all about 'him' and his silly trousers, no matter what he says.

I remember him hacking off Woods trying to jump on his jet at the end of a tournament. Utter clown.

Don't forget Sergio. We need him big time.
Remember him spitting into the golf hole at one tournament....he was spotted and calmed down after that.

Monty another prize peach...'If it wasn't for me, you wouldn't be here'.

The rest are a superb bunch of guys.

I personally love Poulter for the passion he shows during the RC and his record is stunning...I can't comment on how he is as a person, because I've never met him. It's that same old thing of you only hear about the negative side of people..people are quick to condemn but rarely praise.

The Sergio Garcia spitting incident is probably the worst thing I've seen a Pro do..If i saw someone do that on the course i was playing, I'd remove them myself...disgusting!

Oh and no one can defend Monty, he is the most self obsessed man on the planet IMO. Didn't he claim the Miracle at Medinah was down to him in some interview or other? Laughable!

I can actually. He's a superb putter. I stand by the rest.

I thought that story was quite amusing.

However what did rile me was when (a few Ryder Cups back) some of the Americans were whinging about not being paid for participating in the tournament, Mr Woods in particular!

Anyone recall which Ryder Cup that was

It'll be closer than people think im not sure we are quite as good as being made out, and i'm not quite sure our captain is up to it (already made one wildcard pick wrong for me).

Anyway I cant wait I just love this competition its going to be a wonderful few days, think we will win but only just, 14.5 - 13.5

edit - Match 4 what a humdinger that is!!!

Fair enough! Can't wait for that first tee shot now. Anyone else see Mcilroy reach the 618 yard par 5 in two....350 yard drive.....stuck his approach with a fairway wood to about 10-15ft. he can't be human, surely.

Given recent PGA Tour performances, that should be a walk in the park for Rory and Sergio. I hereby predict a 5/4 trouncing. biggrin

Poults forgiven for a whole week?? Nah, 3 days only in my book!

Kinda agree with 3-1 EU for the Friday morning....but can also see 2-2.

Played the course in 2010...wasn't that impressed as a test of golf, but assume its been set up for birdie chances to get the crowd going

What are you lot on about! White belts, trousers, preener??? Talk about missing the point. Poulter has won 8 points out of 11 matches, never lost a singles match and pretty much single handedly turned around the match at Medinah. Couldn't care less about his dress sense or personal life - he's Europe's main man.

Going tomorrow - 5.30am start. Can't wait smile

Well, an hour to go! It's helicopter city around us at the moment, which is even more impressive as it's blowing a gale.

Must admit to feeling rather jealous of all those who have tickets. My 6 week old son next to me in bed quickly reminds me why I don't though.

Sunrise over the next half an hour, if conditions allow, might be rather special for a lot of spectators who have made it in in time.

Go Europe!

I don't go any more and prefer to watch it on TV, but have great memories and wish you all a great time. Here's a photo taken nearly 30 years back! God I was a lot younger then!

Did he say that in one of his 'tweets' ?.

Think Justin Rose may have a different view. Poulter is the Widow Twky of the team, and can't be compared to the likes of Rose etc....proper gentlemen.

Nevertheless Europe have to win. Couldn't bear a loss to the whooping, chino /trainer adorned red necks that make up the US crowd.
Watson however is a legend.

Anyone know where I can keep track of the scorecard whilst at work? Plenty of apps for iStuff and android, nothing for wp8 or desktop...
