Listened to an article on Talk Sport this afternoon about some tw@ US Football star, he "helped" his wife/partner out of a lift, after she collapsed...

Some US News site has got hold of the real CCTV Footage.

Yep, that works, what an asshole, didn't seem to react at all as if it's a normal day for him.

It's disgraceful and I am pleased he's been banned from the sport.

Tragically, his wife Janay is standing by him throughout all of this and is saying the ban is akin to losing a close friend. It's very sad to see people brainwashed into thinking this is acceptable and common behaviour in a marriage.

Thread title identifies the OP as the fat kid from PE class, always got picked last and has a chip on his shoulder about sport because of it.

This isn't "sports stars being full of their own self importance", it's a domestic abuser/ahole behaving as such. If he was a used car salesman or a librarian, you wouldn't have called the thread "Librarians, full of their own self importance".

Chris Brown did the same thing to his girlfriend, there was no "musicians are all cocks" thread, because the rest of us can identify that Neil Diamond and this Brown fellow aren't tied together by a behavioural bond based on their profession.

Despite the needlessly broad brush approach to the topic, I do agree wholeheartedly that Ray Rice is a complete cock. I'm delighted that the NFL are taking this so seriously and that his franchise have summarily sacked him. As a note of how seriously the League are taking this incident, the San Francisco 49ers have suspended one of their in-house radio announcers for comments he made relating to the incident during the broadcast of the first game of the new season.
