Listening to 5 live atm didnt know they had employed a bunch of ostrichs with their head in the sand saying everything is at the moment! Had to change channel wait for start of play to happen!

The ball isn't turning and everyone knows they're gonna bowl exactly that ball yet the openers keep getting bowled/LBW to those balls.

And in the chat between play the director of cricket say he is aiming for the final of the world cup and believe his player are up play and win!

Not by the current play!

Not great news for Cook either, total lame duck.

We are four wickets down, chasing 303 in a dead rubber at the end of a st season, Cook approaches ODI like a virgin at an orgy. No idea why he is there, or what to do.

18 months since he last scored above 80 runs. Absorbs 50 - 60 balls at the top of the order trying to "get in" As I have repeatedly said, even on Cook's best day in an ODI, England score 260. Cook uses up the balls, trying to play in then makes a 60 - 70 and leaves some poor fker to smash it in the last 5-10 overs, even when it works it is a 260 score.

57/4 - we are literally awful. And the only Batsman that has made two 50+ scores is Bopara and they dropped him !

I'd be stunned if useless Cook isn't dropped and stripped off the captaincy very very soon. No way can England let this wker be the captain at the world cup.

He's just spending some time with his thoughts right now.

5 down now. Dilshan showed his class with the bat earlier on, now showing his class with the ball.

Well. A 150 odd run defeat will surely send Cook to the canvas.

Don't understand why Ravi Bopara isn't playing?

Im not suprised he was dropped. DD finished bottom of the IPL last year and he was skipper, and made hardly any runs.

Chef's goose appears to be very well done.

Not sure who should take over the captaincy, it certainly shouldn't be Morgan, who manages to score runs about as often as KP manages to air sophistication.

Haven't Taylor and Root both made more than 1 50+ score as well, not counting this game?

What a load of shambles. Sri Lanka were thrashed 5-0 by India before this series, so they were under pressure to perform. They've pretty much dominated this series. They've been heads and shoulders above England with the bat, ball and in the field.

Top scores by Bats

Moeen - 119
Root 104
Taylor - 90
Buttler - 55
Morgan - 62
Cook - 34
Woakes - 41

Root Averages in this series 73.40 - great average, he is a top line batsman so it no surprise.

James TREDWELL - averages 19.50

Guess which other England player also averages 19 ?

Fitting that Jayawardena takes the winning wicket. One of the all time greats, and of course Kumar Sangakara too.
