Good, although I'd never wish injury on any player his form hasn't been great. I've said it before, on form he's a good if limited player. I expect Myler and Cips will battle it out for the bench position? I'd like to see Young Slade from Exeter get some time in the senior squad he can play in the centres but long term probably a 10.
I expect in Lancaster's mind Myler might just be above Cipriani as he's more in the Farrell mould i.e. dependable place kicker if somewhat limited in other areas. I've not seen the kicking stats for this season but suspect Cips is poorer than the rest in this respect.
Injuries are stacking up but strength in depth has at times been a blessing and a curse and in this case welcome.
Cipriani has averaged 7.4 points per game in his Premiership career. Farrell has averaged 9.9, Ford 9.6 and Myler 8.2.I expect in Lancaster's mind Myler might just be above Cipriani as he's more in the Farrell mould i.e. dependable place kicker if somewhat limited in other areas. Given the average performances of the clubs they've been playing for over their careers, I can't help thinking that in a like for like England team, I might be inclined to back Cipriani...
Farrell has not been 100% this season, even when playing for Sarries [who I support]
I hope its not major outage, but I do hope Ford gets a shout
not sure why Ashdon did not get picked, his game especially in defence this season has been very good at club level
armitage is in France so IMHO he chose to go there and knew the rules so think its right he stays there or comes back to an English club

AJ what a great test career - I remember years ago Fra v Wal last few mins Wales just ahead on the 5 meter line the whole time and AJ essentially ensured Wales won that game (and oIRC that went on to be our first GS since the 70's).
A shame he didn't hit the magic 100 - but if Father Time meant he was no longer first choice then that is that no one should be simply gifted a centurion its earned and he earned 95 exceptional caps which is monumental in its own right.

Jenkins on 115
Tony Woodcock and Castro on 110 and 107 respectively, and both still playing.
John Hayes 107
Andrea Lo Cicero 103
Assuming you meant Carl Hayman, he was a positive lightweight by comparison on 45!

From what I have read it's the new scrum laws that have done for him rather than father time ....wasn't as dominant at the scrum. Not so sure about that one tbh. Weren't the new laws in place for the Lions when he marmalised the Crims?I think his fitness has dropped off a fair bit this season.

Just needs the experience to know when NOT to try it as he does get caught more than you'd like.
wasn't that Cip's problem though? The Q is will DC and SM battle it out vs the Wolfhounds this friday for a sport on the bench next? Personally (like many on here) while I really don't wish any player an injury let alone something like a knee loosing baby-Faz could be a blessing. Gives us time to try combos and also, potentially, get's Cips a little game time behind a consistently strong 8.
As regards AJ - been a good servant to the game and it's sad the way it's ended. From what I've read there's a very good chance he'd have been at the WC so not fully understanding his logic there
