What an experience that was! We were on the grandstand on 17 to see Faldo make his birdie on his last round at the open. Also got to see Daly, T. Watson and O'Meara play. Also got to see the younger guys playing and even stuck it out until tiger teed off at 6.10! We left Thursday night at 9.30, got there at around 7.30am watched as much as we could before sneaking off around 7pm and got home at about 4am. I was spent but what a great day! I've got plenty of photos but can't upload them until next week! Will post a link to them when I get a second. Managed to play 18 today and scored 40 points with an Eagle on the 17th. If it wasn't for the putting I would of been in the 70's again. Still, a 9 over 80 was very pleasing! Especially as the wind was blowing a bit today! All in all, one of the best weekends I've ever had!!

the galleries seem to be very noisy - is it the proximity of the microphones or are they a bit crowdier (lol) than usual...

still better than the US crowds by a mile but i'm not used to hearing so much "go on danny" type stuff...

The course however is quite a bit less interesting/challenging than the one on the recent US Open...

They complained about the greens there, complained about the weather here. Always something to complain about.Lots of low scores since they didn't have to play in the rain or wind too much. Tomorrow freshening up though.

The easy conditions have made a nice leaderboard though. Will be fun to watch tomorrow. Cannot believe Dustin J has had such a poor round comparatively, the coke and hookers catching up it seems, as reported here first on PH... biggrin

There's going to be some very low scores if the weather stays put.
Branden Grace is 5 under after 7 - Up to T18.

Just got an android notification for my TuneIn Radio app telling me about The Open Radio.

Listening to it now but doesn't seem to be commentating on live play . . . as yet.

I'm sure they would have received a plethora of complaints from bored middle-aged housewives if they'd decide to bring the coverage forward!

Because its the BBC they are a law unto themselves I think SKY take over soon then the coverage will be much better. The highlight yesterday wasnt the Golf it was Ken Brown and a plastic duck

I'd put money on Andy Murray's game being shown if it had been delayed by 24 hours and we would also get numerous shots of the lovely judy too.

I wonder if one of these early out players are going to get the best of conditions and post a target that the current leaders drop back behind? Could be a very interesting finale.

I'm hoping that someone can post a low number. Maybe get to -16/17 and see if the overnight leaders can get to it? It'd be good to see a few of them having to chase a number down.
