I thought Woods played some really good stuff yesterday .What I find a bit strange is how he needs to be "taught" anything about the game and whilst physically a driver can destroy your back the same cannot be said about a putter.
I hope he does well.
"Come on Ernie lad" was the shout at Hoylake a few years back so come on Ernie.
I agree to an extent but yet again the TV bods devoted way too much attention to him. His playing partners were one of the current best players in the world and a European Ryder cup hero and they rarely got shown in the coverage. And I had to cringe at the hero worship commentator descriptions of 'magnificent' chips and pitches that he played.....especially since they always followed a st shot that had put him in the position in the first place!
One of which was level with Woods and the other a shot worse.

Probably should have watched more of a completely different group!

Interesting poll on the BBC live forum for who will win from yesterday early

Drum roll please... we are about to reveal the results of our first Masters vote. Earlier, we asked you: Who will win the 2015 tournament? Unsurprisingly you plumped for the world number one...

Rory McIlroy: 29.8%
Other: 14.4%
Jordan Spieth: 13.7%
Tiger Woods: 10.1%
Bubba Watson: 6.7%
Rickie Fowler: 6.6%
Henrik Stenson: 5.2%
Justin Rose: 5.3%
Adam Scott: 4.8%
Phil Mickelson: 3.5%

Taking out the popular vote of Rory Jordan got spotted quite well. This was before he got going as well.

I won't be unhappy if he takes it home.

He's ripping it up. I voted for him on the BBCweb poll. He just seems to be one star waxing as another wanes.

He seems a nice lad as well. If he wins this he is allowed to marry my daughter. She's only 13 but apparently if I re-title her "The Enfanta of Spain" then it's ok.

Anyone else strangely enjoying watching McIlroy playing badly?! As it stands he's missing the cut!

I dunno man, I really like Rory after last season.

Spieth is entering centre stage though eh?

Tiggs has already earned me a fiver by making the cut smile

I assume they've had some unseasonably wet weather which we're unaware of. . .

Can anyone catch Speith?

Realistically he's got a 7 shot lead over the pack (sorry Charlie, I know you're 9 under the card and I like you, I really do, I just can't see you chasing him down), he seems in a class of his own. Ok, 7 strokes over two days is just within reach, only if Jordan loses his touch though.
Extraordinary display from a player who was an amateur only 18 months ago.

Conversely, what's with all the trauma queens throwing their toys out of the pram after the slightest error, poor form chaps.

Finally, Tiger, cheer up mate, you've got a face on you like your ex wife's just poo'd on your car seat.

Lots of slopes and aprons seem to be mowed longer than usual. Plenty of balls holding on slopes around the greens that I am sure are normally like glass.

It's not good, Augusta should be terrifying to play at all times imo.

It's a great leader board so far.
