Stupid comment I know but in the snap shot, if your feet are lined up in the correct direction then either tee marker is set up in completely the wrong direction or you have teed up well ahead of the tee marker.
It's a bit misleading - the tee box follows the boundary of the golf course on the left so is fairly straight compared to the shot you need to take.
The line is the right edge of the white building you see in the distance. You can see the direction the tee box goes by looking forward to the yellow tee box.
Also, I'm allowing for a bit of wind coming from the right along with my (usual) draw.
Ball is in line with the tee markers
I played my first full 18 for about 5 weeks yesterday (I was away last weekend and have had 4somes comps for the previous weeks!).
I seem to have lost all ability to hit 3 wood or driver
Having said that, tried to make my swing less flat and saw definite improvements, so I'm sure a lesson or three when I have time will see me back on the fairways.
Course is in amazing condition, greens are as pure as I've seen them.

Well, 2015 is now nearly over as far as golf is concerned. We're now mostly playing Texas scrambles in the mud at our course. Was a good year for me...sneaked up to 15 early on the year and ended up a solid 12.0 at the end. I think most of the improvement was down to being better off the tee (ball in play for the second shot more of the time)and better decision making before each shot (getting back in play when I needed to).
Now thinking of getting a new putter and grooving it in over the winter...I'm fancying an Odyssey Versa 9 but haven't tried one yet. However, I'll keep my 20 year old Rossie II just in case!
Yep. Another year of golf nearly over. Now thinking of getting a new putter and grooving it in over the winter...I'm fancying an Odyssey Versa 9 but haven't tried one yet. However, I'll keep my 20 year old Rossie II just in case!
It's been a mixed bag for me. If I look back to the first post of this thread, my goal was to get from 17 to 15 or lower. Well I've achieved that and am now playing off 15.4.
However, whilst I feel I've certainly improved in my short game and putting, I feel that I haven't really made much improvement off the tee. Last weekend was an exceptional game for me, all of my drives and 3 woods from the tee were good (some excellent) so I hope it's the start of some sustained improvement.
I'm also after a new putter, and was supposed to go last weekend for a putting analysis and custom fit session but the pro caught a stomach bug and had to postpone until the 30th. I can see myself going for the Odyssey #7 Tank but I'll wait and see!
Luckily for me our course actually plays better in the winter than the summer - the greens are so pure at the moment. I'll be playing weekly (weather dependent) throughout the winter so I should hit next season running.

Wow, just played the Vale resort outside Cardiff. Free day with Motonovo finance, fair play was cracking. It was very wet and only a few of us managed the full 18 , only my second game this year and only scored 18 in the stable ford but was a good laugh.
I've played there (had a weekend there). What course did you play?Merp said:
Decent short game!
I played the Warwickshire Kings Course last week, I had 9 putts on the first two holes which put me 4 over! It was a wet, and I didnt believe the pace of the practice green.
In the end I shot 7 over, not bad for my first full 18 in a year! Heading off down the range this afternoon.
