Looking like tough call for the kiwi's to get something out of this, shame really because they have been by far the most exciting team to watch but you never know with this great game.
I do like hearing the third umpire talking to the infield umpires for the review system, i guess we will have it here in 20 years time or so.

Think we have to give credit through gritted teeth for the Aussie bowlers , they have been excellent.
Yep, fair point. What are the rules with the head-hunting balls by the way? To a non-cricketer it looks like pretty cynical play (and if I hit a hockey ball at someone's head to intimidate them I'll probably be sent off) but I don't know much about cricket, is it just considered a legitimate tactic?

This is one of the funniest comments I have read on a cricket thread - but very interesting. As a cricketer, you appreciate the bouncer and its use. It's an interesting perspective to hear how a non cricketer perceives short pitched, aggressive bowling.
I can see how it would be amusing - but hey, if you don't ask questions you don't learn anything right.Black can man said:

I kind of fancy the Kiwi's to win this world cup.
I think its the first time in my memory that we've had a cricket team capable of actually winning anything, so I'm hoping they manage to pull it off.You idiot

New Zealand played some terrific cricket throughout the tournament, but unfortunately for them, they had their worst game at the wrong time. McCullum flopped at the biggest stage.
Surely there is the 2nd leg back in Auckland? That would only be fair. Home and away as they say in Australia ! Gassing Station | Sports | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
