123 all out. I am speechless at the total lack of quality in this side... mentally as much as anything... Just fking poor from the word go. We seem to learn nothing in the four years between World Cups. Our tactical approach is out of date and we need an overhaul (again)...

Let's hope someone can repeat Southee's performance and bowl 'em out... But I can't see it.

This isn't going well currently! 36-0 on the 3rd over and not even putting them under pressure!

New Zealand don't care, they are just playing a bit of exhibition cricket.

The bowling is as shocking as the batting frankly...

This is as bad as it gets.

I didn't know NZ has batted woke up early and though there was a delay in the start put the radio on and try to get back to sleep! Disgraceful batting and only way of getting him out was full toss at the knees!

One of the worlds best one day international bowling performances. Fastest World Cup 50, 100 in 6.4 overs.

I take my hat off to NZ and wish I had been there to watch it.

As for England, glad they have been practicing their "death" bowling. Only need to do it for 40 overs and keep them scoring less than 10. Mind you NZ are running out of wickets ....

New Zealand play Australia in about a week. Australia have a really talented team at the moment and New Zealand will want to make them feel pressure.

Remember the Australians can't under-arm bowl any more either.

We're st, and we know we are.

I'm just glad I wasn't there to see it, but I do hope they don't get paid for that.

I was surprised at the post-match interview with Eoin Morgan and his view that not much needed to change.

England has some great players and staff but I still don't think just how far they have slipped in the last couple of years has hit home. It may take a bit of time to climb out of this slump. Every option should be opened after this campaign to turn the situation around (no more politics or carrying previous animosity forwards), obviously they've had many issues managing talent which has culminated in losing a talented batsman and experience captain at a time when they've been found very wanting in that area. Eoin Morgan has struggled to both manage the team and his own performance compounding this problem.

I don't believe what we saw today is an indication of the depth of talent in the English cricket but team politics and mismanagement. New Zealand cricket had similar problems with Andy Moles a few years ago but it was resolved much faster without bleeding talent.

Yes I agree with the above, good synopsis. I do get the feeling that the game has moved on rather and England have not moved at the same pace.

For far too long we have only had one person out of 11 making a good fist of it in a match. We need 3 or 4 people doing well at each match. The person doing well in this match made a massive 40+, that shows how bad it was.

Scotland will be wondering now about things there were not wondering about before the start of this competition.

I'll be at the New Zealand v England game here in Wellington. Should be good, never been to watch a cricket match (sort of been at one whilst working in a corporate box the other day though). Got to admit, watching it doesn't do much for me. Loved playing as a kid, but I don't have the patience to sit there for 8 hours!
Eight hours? You'll be lucky... hehe

Shows how stupid england are...been playing Taylor at 3 who has been scoring runs, getting confidence prior to the World Cup, then just before the Aus game we suddenly bring Ballance in how hasn't played ODI in a while and bump Taylor down to 6 to accommodate him. Brainless decisions.

Should be an interesting match. Kiwis should have home advantage - will be interesting if Boult and Southee swing the ball.

Don't worry everyone...it's a happy dressing room.

Absolutely pathetic management of the team. Not picking your best one day players and then the ones you do pick you shuffle them round the order at the last minute.

Absolute incompetence. This is what you get with a bunch of yes men.
