Finally they start to show the overs left today (29)
Anyone think the kiwis could actually win this?
Don't be absurd, any Englishman is worth 20 of those foreign johnnies.Anyone think the kiwis could actually win this?
The best the Kiwi's can hope for here is a draw.
Wood is already on a record score for him, and with a test average of 48:00 he has plenty of runs in him yet.

Thought that might happen .
Never mind Jimmy A is the man to do it, never in doubt. I am not surprised the other higher order batsman found it hard to concentrate knowing that a batting genius like Jimmy A is still to come in. I am still predicting a 2-0 series win, and have topped up my paddy power bet, now the odds have lengthened to 100000000000000000 - 1
Clearly I am only messing about
We all recognise that we are rebuilding, but the media and pundits starting to build up the middle order, and indeed posters on here were insisting with posts like Kevin who, and stokes is the new Botham and all that st
Our middle order remain collapse prone, it is a very English thing. 200/1 to 250/8 is frankly shocking. If Bell with all his experience can't marshal a fight back then what is the point of picking him.
Better to rebuild the entire middle order. Ali is not the savior of the tail either.
Good to see Broad remember how to hold the bat and Wood looks a decent find. We still need a frontline spinner and another number four (ideally a number 3 too)
Ballance ? Would you persist ? Good average and has played well generally, but nothing special against a strong attack.
Credit to NZ, they have two great bowlers for English conditions, Boult and Southee are pretty good pair, and frankly the whole team have a nice ethos and way. I for one very much do not mind losing to NZ, they play the game the right way.
Where is DJRC ...
ODI Stats battle part 19
England have only scored 300 batting second five times in their 646 game ODI history
For new readers this is the ongoing debate about how many times 300 has been chased. I reckon it is in less than 2% of all ODI games.
Infact the average innings score in ODI EVAH is still only 236!
Though clearly it is on the up of late with 300's get hit more frequently
Let the stat off commence, along with another super 150+ from Roooooooot
