I don't normally watch ODIs but I did this last game and superb it was. I was thoroughly entertained.

Bairstow has been in the Test team and looked OK, but had an out of form patch and Joss the Boss came in. At the moment he is pushing Balance and Bell for a place given their relative lack of form in the last 3 Tests.

I think whatever happens on the pitch in the Ashes, the players would still go and have a beer together at the end of the day
Be that as it may, it's the visible on-field respect and sportsmanship that has been a delight and a breath of fresh air in this series.

Exactly two teams really going at each other without all the nonsense proper sport.

I would normally agree 100%

But I can honestly say I can't remember enjoying 1 day cricket as much as this series since I was a nipper. (think 1970s/80s!)

Well that was fun. NZ catching England disease. Nice to see the bowlers getting some success.

Back to the proper form of the game - let's hope we have a good competition.

There's a chance I might have lucked into tickets for the third test... woohoo

We stopped criticising players for going for their shots ....

I wonder if Bell is going to get back into the test side.

Anyone feel like taking a punt on Morgan at five instead ?
