We'll be lucky to get a lead anywhere near 100 at this rate.

Lyon.
3 overs, 3 wickets.
How?
Batsman choosing to walk when they're not out will help.

We've been pretty tat in response here. Can't afford to throw wickets away. Butler's not looking cut out for test match cricket, only problem is the alternative didn't do much better, at least that was to a ripsnorter....

Looking at the scoreboard from 4000 miles away and no TV coverage - is the wicket doing a lot?

85 ahead with three wickets left at lunch.

I doubt will get 100 ahead

I think ~100 ahead is fine. I can easily see our boys taking 3 wickets before the Crims break even.

I think the Australians will be a bit disappointed by that. Having cheaply dismissed Bairstow and Stokes in 3 balls and winkled out Root we took the foot off a bit. Starc was a bit poor.

A 150 lead will be too big for Aus. Need to wrap this up quick or its all over.

And there is par for the innings.

I had min - 200, par - 236 = 100 lead and stretch of 250 AO.

I think we can possible look at a stretch target of 275 with a bit of luck.

Moeen Ali got 12 of Johnson in that last over, slowly extending the lead to 123

Ali gone for 59.

278-9.

Well they hit that 275 Stretch target I gave. This has been a superb counter attack by Ali and its given England the score they wanted.

John...dont pass Go, dont collect $200 and Ill have that Get Out of Jail card back please smile Johnson is on 66-2.
