The Ashes 2015
Discussion
From a simple game theory point of view, I can't see why you'd bat first on a green-ish wicket a week or so after destroying the other side with the ball. You cannot win a match in th efirst session or two battign first. But you can lose it.
I expect, as before, that we see both sides bat before getting too excited or glum - but 80/5 is pretty poor after choosing to bat.
If we can get 150 on the board it might get interesting.

Will we make it to 37 overs?
Looking forward to what the Mitchells do on this track later today. We should be bowling by 4pm!
If their line and length are what they were in the last test I suspect they will be providing a rather severe examinationLooking forward to what the Mitchells do on this track later today. We should be bowling by 4pm!
That said our blokes have played some pretty ordinary shots at some quality deliveries

Clearly some quality bowling going on - but, again, why bat first on a seamers' wicket when you're at 1-1?
Dunno John but I'm sure you can tell us. You seemed to know everything yesterday when you were telling us only one team had been all out for under 40 overs. You cannot win a game in the first 2-3 hours batting first (sure you can set up some comfort), but you can lose a game in that 3 hours.
Australia are 1-1 and don't need to chase the series and are coming off a 37 over spell on a dead wicket running through England.
All we have achieved now is given England some belief they can bowl us out cheaply and removed any semblance of scoreboard pressure.
It will be a great win, but still a poor choice to bat first.
