Whyte and Chisora on Gloves are off.....worth a watch of the snippet on Sky Sports app!

Chisora really does rub people up the wrong way doesn't he and Whyte is hardly the sharpest tool in the box.

In other news as much as I love gassiev it was lebedev who should have retained his title last night...gassiev has mad power but found it difficult adjusting to southpaw lebedev....great fight though!
Just found out that it was only the IBF title on the line Saturday, so Lebedev still holds the WBA (super) title.

If that happened, they are both very silly boys indeed. Not only is there a risk of them blowing a decent pay-day through injury (how easy would it be open an eyebrow or break a bone in an un-wrapped hand) but if the BBBoC were to substantiate that someone got KO'd I'd say there was a pretty good chance they'd enforce the same 'rest period' (3 weeks?) as they would if the KO had happened in the ring, so refuse to sanction the fight. A bit of aggro and needle is great for promoting an event, but when it gets to fisticuffs this close to the show...really not a great idea.

Groves announces he's agreed to fight Fedor Chudinov for a WBA world strap of one kind or another, you know what the WBA are like, a quick google yields no further information on who is actually the WBA super middle world champ, could be Sturm, could be Tyron Zeuge, could be Giovanni De Carolis, could be Groves already as he has one of their belts... But... if it takes us closer to a late summer showdown between Groves and De Gale I'm in...

Boxing is becoming a laughing stock with all these fake pre-fight scuffles.

i thought about the ramifications of chisora being knocked out at sky's studios on the fight itself!!!....they are a pair of nutters....but if the bbbc decided to not allow the fight to go ahead they would both be kicking themselves

Chisoras table throwing this after noon all looks a bit WWF. He slams his fist down on it and it starts bouncing off the floor, high enough for him to float it over to Whyte.

There's been some talk at work this morning about Saturday's event, and one of my staff was singing the praises of AJ. That's fine, I like him too but I suggested that he's got a way to go until he's considered among the best boxers on the planet. This fella took exception to that and vehemently insisted he was top of the pile already. Not just among the heavyweight division, but in boxing as a whole.

I said he's nowhere near GGG or Ward amongst others (He's too inexperienced to be talked of in their bracket IMO).

What's the opinion on here? Does AJ make you top 5 boxers? Top 10?
