Apparently Mayweather has said he could face Danny Garcia if he was to come out of retirement this year...

Looks like I may be seeing David Price around the area as he moves to David Coldwell, not sure its a brilliant move for him but good luck!

He only said that to make the point that he could overshadow Khan's fight if he wanted to. He won't be fighting Garcia

Surely everyone knows that there will me a maypac 2.

Manny convincingly beats Bradley, shows he has his shoulder all better and then the hype starts to build and the money will come for another 'fight of the decade'

I think this was decided ages ago personally. I firmly think they will fight again

Cold well is a very underrated coach IMO, there's no flash and razzmatazz with him just knuckling down and hard work, just what Proce needs. Price needs to work on his defence and get into the habit of tucking the chin in and his gloves constantly high.

More than anything he needs to find his confidence, I really hope he can as that will see him putting the power in his own punches again without holding back for the fear of what's coming back, that needs to be sewn in with the above defensive tactics though. His offence is a major part of his defence.

Where he gets a world title belt from at present I don't know, if he was more personable I'd be screaming for him to get a bit of the Henry Cooper about him and make his money dominating the British/euro scene and making good money there. Short of Hughie Fury there's not a lot left to contest the Lonsdale belt for

My concerns are really a lot to do with the weight class and the stable of guys at Coldwell, his site is way date so and I'm not sure of his current roster. Primarily dealt with the smaller weight classes in the past.

He's a good coach but the mutterings you hear occasionally are that the promotional and management side of things took him away too much. Has been a couple of years since I've spoken to people around him, articles suggest that this changed when Haye retired and Bellew moved to him so hopefully that will continue. He has the connections to find quality sparring and the work ethic.

Sorry to say it but David Price, like Audley Harrison, has got all the attributes to be a great heavyweight and against lesser skilled or smaller opponents he has the ability to look world class, but he hasn't got the mentality needed to step up to world level, it has nothing to do with technique or training, he's been doing that for years at the highest level, he knows what to do and he knows how to get into great shape - he just doesn't have that thing that's needed to walk through the punches and land his own when the lights are on and the chips are down, he was a rabbit in the headlights against Teper.

That said obviously I wish him the best, he seems like a lovely chap and it's not as if I could do any better.

the amount of weight put on a book written by men with agendas a couple of thousand years ago by so many people astonishes me.

Empty head filled with biblical scriptures like a jam doughnut. Although he seems rather chilled when it comes to being a raging adulterer until he gets busted hehe

i was a massive pacquiao fan as i watched him rise through the weight classes obliterating all before him. i loved the fact that he seemed to be a paragon of virtue. my kind of champion.

a few years later i watched his documentary and saw the hurt on his wife's face when talking about the prickly subject of his infidelity. i lost a lot of respect for him that day. even more today

I've thought a lot about this and Manny. There is no excusing his infidelity however I can see how temptation would be hard to resist.

Imagine living in the shanty towns of the Philippines, fighting for food and living in poverty - a hard life for anyone. Then imagine the breakthrough and trips to the US - more money than he knows what to do with, gorgeous women throwing themselves at him, maybe some encouragement from his on-clingers, alcohol, parties, drugs etc etc - the polar opposite of what he had grown up with. The add in his age - early 20's.

I would take a very strong person to not bat an eyelid and continue as normal. It would take a strong mind and will not to be tempted.

I got married at 30 and before that I was out on the lash every weekend, doing the lad routine and shagging what I could. My wife is the ONLY woman I have ever been 100% faithful to and I'm very happy to have what I have.

Maybe Manny can be forgiven for making mistakes. At least now he has realised the error of his ways, done huge amounts of good for his country, charity and is a committed family man. He has repented and is now a reformed character (incidentally I associate his 'born again christian' status with the decline in his aggression and killer instinct)

With regard to his recent comments about same sex marriage - well I think his translation has been blown up by the press. He did not call LBGT animals. I think he was trying to make a parallel with nature and the bible he is devoted to.

His beliefs are entirely his own and he is entitled to them - it's just a shame that they come about is such a discriminatory way. I actually respect the fact he apologised for the offence but stuck to his guns on his views.

Talking of Manny and animals there is a story in his book about his family killing and eating their pet dog when he was a kid because they were so hungry - anyone who's been through that level of poverty gets a "bit" of a pass in my book. Nike can go feck themselves given the multitude of corruption scandals they're involved with concerning FIFA and the Athletics world champs, never mind their manufacturing methods and the fact they make st trainers.

And I don't speak Tagalog but my understanding was he made some tortured metaphor about the bible and homosexuality in animals (which is wrong because penguins are gay as fk and there's loads of monkeys which swing both ways) I don't think the actual translation is anywhere near "Gays are lower than animals"

I agree with most of what Fred has posted but also would like to add. He is in a running for Senate, in a (no disrespect intended) country with different views to ours plus throw in the Trump effect ie say something controversial to be noticed & this 'May' not do his political aspirations any harm at all. IMO Manny has been 'advised' here...whatever it is I wish him well in his future whatever happens, he has given me & thousands of other great pleasure watching his boxing skills in the ring plus he does seem a down to earth guy.

Not quite - it looks like the winner of Canelo/Khan has 15 days to commit to the Golovkin fight (or presumably get stripped).
