A very weak show. The only interest is the September fight?

Briggs is wheeled out to mouth off at Haye.

That should help sell 6 or 7 tickets for his next fight.

Yawn.

BoxRec had that guy as the 24th best heavyweight in the world.

The next week will be more shameless self promotion from Haye about how he wants to fight AJ, and more staged nonsense from Briggs. At least a fight with Briggs would be more of a challenge.

Regardless of tonights 2 main events being over very quickly
I am actually looking forward to Haye Vs Briggs

I find Briggs pretty refreshing and think he will make Haye work hard for the result
Theirs certainly a few less desirable fights than this

That really was poor.

As much as I'd like to see Haye Briggs, that evening of mismatches has put me right off.

Poor filming techniques, mismatched opponents and a very cheap feel to the whole affair.

I do think Haye will KO Briggs though.

It was pathetic; did Hayes' opponent actually throw a punch?

I think the whole Briggs thing reminds me of Rocky 3 with Clubber Lang shouting his way into a fight.

At least Haye vs Briggs will be an exciting opening round; both going at it to knock the other out.

After watching that, it makes me think of just how good a 'boxer' AJ is. Haye just seems to want to go straight in and knock out his man asap. If Haye gets a crack at AJ he'll have to change his approach big time

Haye isn't doing himself any favours with these fights and promotions.

It really was poor. Imagine being there, having to put up with all the ste then watch a couple of major mismatches. Then cursing getting home from the O2. I mopped the kitchen floor last night, and did a load of washing between the bouts. Both those were more interesting than the boxing.

If you go back a few pages on this thread to discussions on the heavyweight scene you'll see me throw my hat into the ring in support of Shannon Briggs, I'll do it again, I think he's got a decent chance at the very top of the rankings and would fancy him against Haye, his body punching is frightening, his physique is freakish (although to be fair haye is looking a bit stacked as well at the moment) and he's motivated and very experienced.

Haye's walk to the ring took longer than the actual fight.

How he expects to regain his standing with 'fights' like this is beyond me....

I think Haye v Briggs could be entertaining, the build up, trash talk etc. Despite yesterday's rubbish, I still think Haye is the real deal.

The quality of the fight never really registered with me. To be honest, I was completely preoccupied trying to figure out where the hell I'd seen David Haye's shorts before...

Well, it wasn't an immediate realisation, but I'd like to think I got there in the end:

my tuppence worth chaps......

joseph parker defeated carlos takam on points in a great fight from new zealand on saturday to secure a shot at joshua. pretty much gone under the radar......

david haye blasts out some no hoper and there are 5 pages of moaning about it here. don't get me wrong, the whole thing was circus but the irony of 5 pages of moaning about it proves david's point. he IS big business, regardless of who he fights. nobody had to sit through that on saturday night but a hell of a lot of people did.

i'll even wager there are a few boxing regulars who are slowly buying into the sham fight that is haye/ briggs. that's right...the same shannon briggs who lost to lennox lewis 18 YEARS AGO and was hospitalized for a week after losing to vitali 7 years ago.

the guy needs protecting from himself which is why wladimir refused to be goaded into hurting him permanently.

haye will fight him. it will be a st fight.

haye is marking time til he gets the big payola against joshua or another belt holder. i can see him ripping chagaev a new ahole for the regular wba strap to secure a big one.

no point crying about it, it's how it's going to go down. wether you watch it or not is up to you.
