There is an inch in height between Kell and Golovkin but Kell has a longer reach, and I whilst GGG has a huge KO record I pretty confident in saying his record is because of his excellent skill, ability and accuracy not huge bombing concussive punches, what'll lose the fight for Kell is not the size or weight difference, which arguably did for Khan.
I'm afraid I don't agree with most of that but I'll only mention the bit I've quoted above as I'm at work.Whilst GGG undoubtedly has "excellent skill, ability and accuracy" he also punches like a mule! I'd argue that his punch power is every bit as responsible for his record to date as the 3 other attributes you mention and indeed he is known to carry a remarkably heavy hit.
Here's an article attempting to describe the science of GGG's extreme punching power: http://www.boxingnewsonline.net/the-science-behind...
Although in many respects I do hope you are right.
Interesting article on the post-Ali heavyweight scene - not particularly cheerful reading for the greater part:

Yes, an interesting article, strange how these things come together, a perfect storm, and when you've got Don fking King orchestrating a lot of stuff it's unlikey to be savoury.http://www.boxingnewsonline.net/long-read-the-lost...
The betting for this weekends Frampton/Santa Cruz bout tells a story. Do you really see it that that one sided? I must admit I've only seen Santa Cruz once and some highlight reels, time to do some catching up before I put the house on Frampton...

Santa Cruz has probably been in with the better quality opposition, but Frampton has proved he can handle top quality opposition in his win over Quigg even if it was a boring fight he did what was needed and probably had more gears in the bag if required. Rumour has it that the extra few pounds of weight have done Frampton the world of good and he'll have more punching power although Cruz is already established at the weight. The each advantage is a concern so Frampton will have to work harder to get inside but hopefully added strength and stamina will work wonders at the higher weight. The odds are tasty enough for me to have a punt on Frampton points or late stoppage I think. Although a draw may not be a bad shout.
Spoke to Lee Selby recently and he is in line for a fight with the winner.

Wow at the scorecards. But great fight and win for Frampton. Much respect he went toe to toe with Cruz for the majority of rounds.
Agree with that...found it hard to split them and therefore could see it going a round or so in either direction, but not by six! Still, think that's probably my fight of the year candidate so far...a priviledge to watch a contest like that.Gassing Station | Sports | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
