Fury vs. Klitschko
Hughie Fury vs Andy Ruiz

What happened about the Fury's failed drugs tests?

How round will Ruiz be (yes, I know 'Fast Hands' but he's a short little lard ball)?

What will be intresting, is if brook wins. If he stops GGG other than the shock and likely rematch clause.

Where does that put him?

Top of the rankings and likely even less people wanting to face him than GGG.
Can't see Canelo facing brook if he just stopped GGG

He sparred Froch a lot apparently, but I know what you mean, 10oz gloves are a lot different to 16's and a head guard.

GGG in 4 or 5 imo. what you think?
As per my post yesterday pal....I see golovkins footwork closing down and catching up with Brook early...
2-4 I reckon....but watching golovkins fights I do see him backing off a lot and accusations of him carrying opponents for longer than needed to appease the fans don't seem crazy...

Can't see Canelo dancing brook if he just stopped GGG
But....you're talking about a guy who is 355-5 as an amateur and an unbeaten pro . He's never been off his feet once in just on 400 fights. I really can't see Brook being the first guy to do it...

Ruiz has looked great so far but you only need to look at his performance against zumbano love and then compare it to joshuas performance to see that he lacks the pop to compete in the upper echelons of the division...He had him hurt early but couldn't finish the job there and then.
However I see this as a great fight for hughie as ruiz has got a lot of respect within the sport. Likewise if he can put down his fork occasionally and get in a bit of shape how good could ruiz be??!!
Looks like wlad and his court threats have stopped tysons nonsense and the fight can finally happen.
UKAD are still adamant regards the positive test but it's confusing because they say his ban would now be over. However if proved right he would have been banned at the time of the fight last year. Under who's authority could they have banned him? BBBC are still being very quiet

Tuscaneer finally found some Johnny owe.n memorabilia it's not cheap but if it's still there in a month or 2 I'm gonna go for it. Getting a taste for the older stuff now even though I'm working on the theory that the modern signatures I get now will be older stuff for my kids if and when one day.

Seen some Dempsey signed gloves too!!! I need a lottery win so much!

WBA decides it won't sanction the Golovkin-Brook fight:

http://www.espn.com/boxing/story/_/id/17461260/gen...

Not only is the WBA being inconsistent - as pointed out in the article, they've previously sanctioned 2-division jumps for Broner and Roy Jones Jr (and not forgetting the 7st difference between Haye and Valuev) - but has also sanctioned fights for Golovkin against (arguably) less capable and experienced opponents than Brook, hence potentially at greater risk...and also they've left this decision bloody late in the day! What has changed in terms of the perceptions of this fight from when it was originally signed...other than now it looks entirely possible that Brook will be the bigger man when they step in the ring...?!

Possibly something to do with this...maybe GGG has told the WBA he's up for it and Brook hasn't?

wow!, genuinely surprised at that!...and if the 7 day weigh ins are anything to go by i would expect kell to be a pinch heavier on the night given golovkin's generally even flat weight across the board....

definitely more about the tournament.....

i'd like to see jacobs / golovkin!!.....i really rate jacobs and he seems to be the forgotten guy at the moment....very interesting

i read an interview with him a couple of years ago where he spoke of his 2 elder brothers. it was unusual as it's a topic he normally won't discuss. both were killed in action serving the russian army and the family were told nothing more than they had gone missing. it must be awful to know(or think) that 2 of your children are dead somewhere on a battlefield and to not have the closure of a burial or even an acknowledgement from the soviet government.

i read a lot of stuff in klitschko interviews about their father and the men under his command when they were sent in for the clean up at chernobyl. absolutely shocking treatment of human life by the authorities.

sorry pal, didn't respond as i'd read over that...

great find !!...i know champsuk had a piece a while back but a rare find if you've got your hands on one. good work!

i think the older stuff is where the value is going to be long term as it's a massive industry now and guys like pacquiao just churn out the signatures. so much so that i can't see much value going forward...ever...

the only modern stuff that's going to fetch are things signed by gatti, corales etc. basically guys who died unexpectedly and so didn't get years and years to churn out tens of thousands of signatures.

I watched Golovkin being interviewed yesterday and he was very impressive. He looked so calm and he answered questions honestly and thoughtfully you could have been forgiven for forgetting this is a Boxer just days before his fight you couldn't help but like him. Whilst he was respectful of his opponent he looked and sounded as though he had no doubts about the outcome only when it might occur.

Yes John , he is impressive in & out of the ring.

No need for all the hysteria...the only time I have noticed him get slightly irritated was when he was asked about something Carl Froch had said about him , maybe not irritated but slightly exasperated by all the nonsense. I think its where he said "If Froch is serious then come out of retirement, have some fights & we'll do it ,otherwise he is a clown". Which for GGG is pretty strong stuff...I think Froch would lose.

This is what boxing does to you, time and time again we convince ourselves that all it takes is one punch, one clever tactical insight, one show of unimaginable bravery and the underdog can come through, memories of that last Crolla fight, Calzaghe Vs Lacy, Hatton Vs Tzu, The Rumble in the Jungle and all the other great boxing stories - sadly in this instance I think a hope is all we have, nevertheless I'll be glued to my telly saturday night. To be honest Kell Brook doesn't speak like a man who has a great deal of confidence in himself from what I've seen of the build up.
