Would anyone want to see the rematch?
well.........we won't know how much the shoulder injury hampered manny until they do it again.
also, all this floyd rehydrating on a drip was all very fishy....
you can bet if hey did it again there would be eyes all over both of them

still should have fought mid 2000s , mind
A rematch wouldn't generate as much interest as the first fight; that's pretty much a given. However, even if it only generated a quarter of what it did first time around, that's still a $100m fight. And though I'm pretty disinterested in the idea as we speak, by the time it came around...yeah, I'd be watching! Love the sport too much not to...

The rematch was decided at the same time the first fight was negotiated imho

They reckoning is that Al Haymon is taking boxing back towards the golden area of boxing, a lot of world title fights pre box office were on weekdays, it's probably a time when you have a more captive audience in the evenings

I've not had chance to catch up yet, its on the planner, but with Clev and also GGG and Lemieux this weekend I'm going to have to work hard to get time to view it... Is the GGG bout on box nation, anyone think he could be beaten in this one? I've read a few opinions suggesting Leimiux will come out ferociously.

They both have power but GGG probably has the greater skills. I think he'll weather the early storm and then start to pick lots of holes in Leimiux defence. It has the making of a very exciting fight.

If GGG does his usual destruction job then I can't see the winner of Cotto-Canelo going anywhere near him, neither of them have the power to hold GGG back.

He's earnt a decent fight back home on the back of that performance, brilliant fight real blood and guts stuff and the broken nose probably didn't help, he definately showed the desire is still there.

Brahemer at home would be fitting? It's just a shame Stevenson and kovaleve are the belt holders as they're monsters although I think Adonis is beatable

If cleverly hadn't had his nose broken in that seventh round he would have won that fight. Fantastic performance against a guy who spent vast parts of his fight with stevenson looking like the superior fighter. Speaks volumes about the quality of cleverly back at light heavy. Hats off to both men.

Getting pumped for golovkin lemieux tonight......but gentlemen.....Please spare a thought for our good friend Yiliterate.....that poor sod has had the inconvenience of having to fly all the way to new York to sit in a cold arena to see it while we are all getting to sit in our cosy living rooms with a few cold cans....

After watching Golovkin, no one is going to beat him unless Ward comes back down and Golovkin goes up, If Cotto or Alvarez wanted too which I doubt, both would be dismantled and destroyed.

Golovkin v Froch would of been epic several years back.

He made a very good boxer look very average. I expected Lemieux to perhaps get a round or two as the fight went on but that never came close to happening. Full marks to GGG, if he doesn't get Canelo or Cotto after their fight you really have to wonder who he fights next. There isn't anything left for him to prove at his current weight.

I think he has too much in the way of offence for Ward to deal with. It might be an interesting contest in terms of a defensive counter puncher type versus an out and out KO machine. Ward would have to dance around him for 12 rounds and be too slick to be caught often.

Agreed, I can only think of Froch as he would stand toe to toe and granite chin plus at the same time dish it out that would of perhaps rivalled Hagler v Hearns all out brawl. If Ward wouldn't beat him theres no one.

I reckon Froch would of watched that and perhaps got him wondering another 80'000 at Wembley. Wasn't Eddie Hearn at the Garden........

GGG is pure class, Lemieux was very brave credit to him but imo Murray gave GGG a harder fight. Lets hope its Canelo next!

Froch would do well to stay retired, Ward would be interesting but if they do meet the Ref would have to jump on Ward's holding, if that's done then a GGG stoppage looks likely.

ETA: Lemieux's style reminds me of an unpolished Nigel Benn .

I'll post some thoughts a bit later if I get a chance, but do any of you know how to upload photos in portrait using the 'upload images' link? It seems to be switching portrait photos into landscape (in preview at least) and I don't want you guys to end up with cricked necks...!
