Is there any standardised ruling about having to give up the belts if you can't defend them? Or is it just a case of the governing body making a decision?
I think it's down to each individual governing body pal.....and by the looks of it I think both the wba and the wbo will vote to strip himtuscaneer said:

I heard Buncey on the radio today saying he heard nice guy Eddie had already been on the phone to K2 promotions offering up Anthony Joshua for a November bout.I've no doubt its in the sports interest both financially and for the fans to get Klitschko a couple more big nights before he bows out, I doubt the heavy weight scene needs or wants to wait around for Fury to get sorted.
Hats off to Joshua if he takes The fight....They will need Wembley for that. If haye/klitschko drew 65000 at the imtech then joshua/klitschko will put 80000 in Wembley no doubt...I think boxing get is finally coming around again to the concept that a loss isn't the end of the road, it's a learning experience. The vast majority of hall of famers have losses on their ledgers....

Agreed - maybe one of the lessons they've learned from MMA.tuscaneer said:

I can't see why anyone would beleive that Joshua v Klitchko will happen in November. There's no venue big enough in the UK to accommodate it in November, They'll sell out the MEN for Joshua v whoever anyway with a juicy PPV to boot, Joshua has potential to lose it, and without a Wembley or millennium stadium to sell tickets they won't be able to satisfy Sky, Hearn and both fighters pay wise i don't think.briangriffin said:
