here's the link to Ricky Hatton's just giving page for the family of Mike Towell......

it feels like so little to just donate a bit of money when lads like Mike Towell give absolutely everything to this sport of ours.....but a little from a lot will help his family a great deal.

It's no compensation for a young lad's life but it does help.

Just remembered that we've got Frank Bruno coming in to our office at lunchtime today to give a talk, in conjunction with World Mental Health Day. Should be good.
Bad form quoting oneself but he was very open about his childhood and his more recent issues and was genuinely engaging.

Reckoned that the biggest hit he ever took was from the taxman laugh

Gratuitous selfie wink

Really hope this is a ruse or a wind-up, because if this is straight up, Fury seems to be in a properly bad way...

He,s an attention seeking idiot with the brains of a ten year old. There may have been a brief witchhunt when he came out as a homophobe but that ceased when people started ignoring him. He's played the "I'm mad" card too many times now.

A shame that he has got to the top of the sport and totally unraveled. He clearly had issues given some of the comments he was spitting out but with boxing you just never know whether its done to grab a headline or two and promote a fight or if its genuine.

Given what has come out this week and the way he's conducted himself since last November I'd say he needs professional help, rehab etc. In a way its sad to see a man get everything they'd wished for and been working towards and then not know what do with it.

I think at this point the governing bodies have to make a prompt and consistent decision to strip him of the belts. The whole champion in recess thing is a bit of a cop out right now given the nature of his problems. If its a genuine mental illness you really can't put a timescale on his recovery.

Heard the name, obviously, but just assumed all the high praise from Oscar was family loyalty. Saw him for the first time on the canelo/smith undercard....looks a great talent

Ive read that its quite a strange relationship. Even though he's signed to his cousins promotions company , him and Oscar very rarely speak. Diego doesn't speak a word of English either which I found strange. On one of his fights I was watching Malignaggi was commenting, he said as a youngster coming through the Amateur ranks his family and trainers kept telling him the only reason he's getting the decisions from the judges is because of his name; obviously trying to spur him on to work harder and become even better.

Was an enjoyable watch though. Especially after the two walruses in the fight before.
