Khan, yeah maybe, though he'd generate a lot of interest (and $$$) by being involved. Pacquiao though, a legend, the biggest name in the division and a current Welterweight world title holder; hmm...not so easy to dismiss for me.
Pacquiao is not dismissed as such, but he wouldn't be an expected participant in a tournament due to his age. It's a division absolutely stuffed with exciting talent.

from a brittish perspective I would love the super middle weight division groves-degale-smith-golovkin (get him stepping up!)-dirells-Abrahams(maybe)
Anyway, watched this earlier shows schaffer and sauerland running things.

Super middle isn't a bad shout not sure it would satisfy the yank contingent mind, but yeah groves, degale, smith, the Dirrels, maybe Jesse hart and smith Jr if he could make super middle. I wouldn't bother with Abraham he proved he couldn't cut it in the super 6. Anyway, watched this earlier shows schaffer and sauerland running things.

Cruiser would be a great one for it or Welter perhaps if you're going to entice American support and tv, at welter you could have Khan, Brook, Peterson, Garcia, Thurman, porter, Tim Bradley, browner, eggington and spence all in the mix.doubt Khan would bother though and not sure brook can make the weight for a 18 more months.

Well, in fairness, I can see why Bellew might still be upset about the things said in the build-up. Like, "I won't be happy until I retire him, I want to hurt him and I want to finish him". I mean, even for fighting men, it really can't be nice to hear that sort of thing being said about you; you know, having your health and your livelihood threatened like that...
Oh, hang on...sorry, wrong build-up! Just double-checked; that was actually a quote from Bellew on his intentions towards Nathan Cleverly just before their re-match in 2014. Now fancy that, eh?!
A good point well made. It was Bellew's behaviour in the build up to the first fight with Cleverly that formed my opinion of him, and everything he has done since has just reinforced that.Oh, hang on...sorry, wrong build-up! Just double-checked; that was actually a quote from Bellew on his intentions towards Nathan Cleverly just before their re-match in 2014. Now fancy that, eh?!

Huge KO from Lemieux last night. Stevens not a soft touch either; went 8 rounds with Golovkin.
Knock out from around 9m10s...

ETA: Looks like that link has been taken down - this is just the KO:

Just watched 24/7 golovkin and jacobs on YouTube......st.....I don't want either of these guys to lose!!!....if I had to call it I'm going with golovkin based purely on the way pirog overwhelmed jacobs with angles.and ggg is the master of pressure with angled attacks...but that was 7 long years ago and I really believe that jacobs is a much more mentally resolute guy since beating cancer. I've been saying it for years now...jacobs is a fantastic fighter.....I just believe deep down that ggg is one of the greats...I hope jacobs does well and comes out with his reputation enhanced from this fight...I just don't think he's quite got enough to win
Jacobs story is so compelling, every ounce of the sport fan in me wants him to succeed, there's no doubt he's also a very good boxer and his team is world class, he'll be well prepared and Golovkins toughest test yet, but we all know Golovkin has something very special, physically and mentally. Kell did show in those early rounds he can be tagged, but I guess everyone who faces him thinks that and he seems to walk through everything and just unload.
I think the interesting story here is where does Lemeuix go from here? Showed no signs of the KO by GGG in beating Stevens.
He's saying he wants Canelo but something in me says he will be avoided, 90% of the GGG risk, minimal reward and a good possibility that he'll get put on the canvas. Saunders was also mentioned but again i think hes too much of a risk without the financial reward promoters love.
Dont think he'll be fancying a rematch with GGG either
I'm really stuck for the guy

Lemieux V Saunders would be a good bang. Why would it not be good for Lemieux? Saunders isnt at the level of Canelo or GGG and he has a belt to put on the table.
Based on Saunder's last outing it would be pretty anti climactic I think. Saunders has sort of driven his career into a bit of a cul de sac, not entirely his fault he's had some bad injuries but he's not realistically top 8 in the world, the middle weight division is stacked, which means keeping hold of his belt is more a job of politics and management than boxing.I'd like to see Eubank Jnr get into the mix with Lemiux/Canelo/GGG
