Not taking anything away from Fury but Klitschow looked terrible tonight. Whether thats because fury made him look that bad i dont know. Maybe age finally caught up with him tonight. It just goes to show the state of heavyweight boxing these days though. Fury wouldnt even have made the top 10 in the 1990s.
He only has to beat the best in this era though. As for Klitscho looking terrible, Fury and his team's plan made him look terrible.

The rematch would be in the UK, and I think Fury could repeat that performance. He really did have the guy sussed out.

My feeling is that Klitschko will retire now
Why retire with such a lackluster performance? He knows all it takes is one right hand on Fury but he was too protective of his chin and fearful of what may return. Now he has nothing to lose and he hasn't been in that position in over a decade. If he loses again, so be it, he can say he was too old. He also chose the wrong size ring (too large).

By "sussed out" do you mean "never threw a punch and never got hit"?

That wasn't boxing.

And to win four belts of the incumbent you'd think the judges might have expected the challenger to at least hit the guy once or twice.

A total embarrassment.

Says a lot about modern boxing but god that was fun.
That's sarcasm, yes?

Which bit was entertaining? It was a boxing match with no punching.

From what I saw WK got cut via inadvertent use of the head from Fury.

Lol. Mostly from the head butting. Honestly, if you think that was a fight with punching I feel for you. Get on YouTube and watch some actual boxing matches from he days when they actually tried to hit each other.

That's the downside of these fights that go the distance, you have to go through the boring rematch most likely. Okay, watching on a small screen and on a stream, I have lost most of the atmosphere you'd get from watching it downstairs on the bigger TV etc, but I am £17 richer. So glad I didn't pay for that.

Tyson's namesake would have had them both out of there inside four rounds, on the same night ...
Sorry to select your post but the ste above and some of the crap written. Are you boxing fans?

A rank outsider, British outsider taking it to an established world champ in his adopted back yard, what a fking night. I hope there's a fking rematch but I doubt it as there's been a pair of bully's exposed tonight that have been ruining heavyweight boxing for a decade.

Like him or loathe him Tyson had the balls to get in there tonight and completely did the business.

Best I've felt since Bruno v McCall. Get in there Tyson.

Don't feel for me, please. I have actually watched a bit of boxing for a little while now. Fury did what he needed to, it's as simple as that.

Yeah. Agreed, but the marking under the eyes were caused by the jab. I'm surprised that the amount of jabs caused such damage but they did.

So that's your first Klitschko fight I assume.

Fury's just done boxing a right favour. If you can't see that stop preaching.

Only just saw the result on the news. To be honest haven't followed a single second of the build up, but don't think I've ever been so surprised at a result.

If for no other reason, but the next title fight won't be held in the heavyweight stronghold. Surely that is a result?

Wladimir Klitschko: I was prepared very well. Tyson was very quick and energetic. I never thought he could do it. I felt I lacked quickness and never found the right distance. This also had to do with his reach. Not much worked. I knew I was behind, but I didn’t have the recipe. Actually, I felt confident, but I couldn’t find the right key. However, there is a rematch.

Vitali Klitschko: Fury was a tad better. We need to analyze it, but Wladimir will come back much stronger. Wladimir waited far too long. You must be active, risk more in the infighting. Tyson is just a good boxer. He has an unorthodox style and Wladimir didn’t do his homework.

No problem with being singled out but it's not crap mate ... The standard of the heavyweight division in particular is not a patch on what it was ... Your loathing of the Klitschkos is evident and I can't say I've seen that much of him in the last few years.

Good luck to Fury, I never gave him a chance ... Just don't pretend he's anything special.

Keep it that way. It was st.
I've been hoping klitchko was dethroned for the sake of the sport, but good lord, being beaten by THE THAT!, this really is the nail in the coffin.
Fury comes across as a right tt. .

I can see the usual British negativity is coming to the fore once again....rolleyes

Fury has not been WORLD champion for five minutes and he is being slagged off left right and centre.

As Mrs Thatcher said after the Falklands....Rejoice!
