Looking forward to seeing a juicy session now of B. Lara flashing the blade and Moeen despatching the bowling to all corners.

Parity by the close.

Review! De Villiers lbw b Anderson 0

Anderson hits him on the pad and it’s given! De Villiers reviews immediately...

Wicket! De Villiers lbw b Anderson 0

There’s no inside edge and this looks like it’s hitting leg stump to me... yes it is, halfway up!

Guardian reporting that ABDV is the first Saffer captain to get a pair since 1912(!) Not sure if that's a pisstake or not.

Cue Boycs on TMS prattling on how it's not wise for batsmen to deliberately wind bowlers up.

That was a good knock for sure, same as the semi final innings.

Just so ridiculous that we wont take him to the world cup.

Can't believe they are still out there, obviously rather drawn than "risk " winning.

Here comes the rain now , that will be it for today.

Compton did his best to run him out a few balls ago , what a disaster.

Three down in 9 overs! Not a good start for a day and a bit to bat out a draw!

Nope - still a draw for me. But I guess Root needs to be in a lunch and a few missing overs with some rain wouldn't go amiss.

If England reckon they are the next big thing in Test Cricket, then they need to show it, and close out these dead rubbrs with a bit of dignity.

It is this type of situation where Cook's captaincy is massively in question, he cannot motivate guys to put it in when they are a bit off the pace.
